Love the 540, about to get a second one. I was gonna get a 740 but corsair ruined the concept of the case and ruined the looks. I wanted it as they designed it for water cooling too but it looks to flashy and trashy.
 
540 gives me everything I could ask for.
 
Airflow is amazing once you get rid of the crap corsair fans. They do ok but don't hold a candle to the several noctuas I used to replace them.
Cable management is the best ive ever had in a case. Plenty of room everywhere.
Its a decent weight but its a quality case. I filled mine up, 4 ssd, 2 hhds, heavy psu, atx board, h100i  and 2 gpus and at one point a cd drive. So it sat at that time it was a decent weight but it was fine. Being water cooled its a heavy ass sob.
Moved 3 hhds to the back. Plenty of room to not keep it clean.

Sounds like ultimate first world problems here.

You can clean it with paper towel. No need for alcohol.

The problem could be when you launch a program the CPU spikes to a high load (Lets say 100%) so to make up for this heat that the cpu is about to put out it ramps up the fan to keep the heat at a stable level. In the bios sometimes there is a fan curve and if the cpu is at 50c then the fan speed is at 50% but when it goes to 52c The fan goes up to 70% this can be fixed by making the fan curve not as steep as it would be

VLC playback will be at the framerate that the video was recorded/created in. If the video was recorded/created in 24FPS, it'll play at 24FPS. Likewise, if it was recorded/created in 60FPS, VLC will play it at 60FPS.

If you care about speed, get the oneplus 3. it's camera is very comparable with the s7 edge, and it's worlds faster. but in general, yes, it would be a great upgrade.

NZXT case is solid, cable management piss easy, you can pretty much do no wrong

Even though I personally prefer my Corsair 900D over anything else, the NZXT H440 is an excellent case IMO. Cable management is easy enough 'cause I am anal about it, and it's easy to work with for a midtower. Last time I worked with one was the Corsair SPEC-02, which I loathe because it's the opposite of the H440 case.
 
I would criticize the stock fans; they're terrible. I would go and get better fans (like some Noctua or Noiseblocker fans) and ditch the stock fans. I would say airflow is good enough, if they used better fans instead.
