WIndows 7 + windows 10 ?

Hello I have a question ?

Is it possible to install Windows 7 on my ssd (for old programs) and Windows 10 on my HDD (for AAA games) ?

Everything that works on windows 7 should work fine on windows 10.

There’s no reason why it wouldn’t work. Why not put both on the SSD and install your programs in separate partitions on the HDD?

Paintshop Pro Photo X2 works fine on Win7, doesn't close properly on Win10. 

It doesn't matter if you use ctrl+Q or click the "X" button in the top right, the window closes and the program disappears from the taskbar, but the process stays active.  You can't launch the program again without either restarting the PC or going into the task manager to manually kill the process first.  Compatibility mode etc don't help.

In all fairness this happens under Win8.1 as well. 

 

JASC Animation Shop 3 was also crashing a lot on Win10.  I have yet to have any problems with it on Win7

 

I haven't tried any of the latest versions, only the first build. I'm really not going to give it a try every time they push out a new version.  You can't polish a turd.

Just slice your SSD in half, and run the operating systems from there. Run the apps from the HDD if needed. Much nicer to use either operating system that way. You can even permanently relocate your libraries (downloads, documents, pictures etc.) to the HDD to save space.
