I5 750 vs i5 4460

Hello guys, my old pc have a i5 750 and a gtx 760. I want to change my processor for a i5 4460 but so i have really more fps in game ? ex: gta V, arma 3 etc.

FRENCH: Bonjours tout le monde j'ai une petite question, dans mon vieux pc il a un i5 750 et une gtx 760. J'aimerais changer pour un i5 4460 parce que le processeur commence à être très vieux mes je me demande si je vais avoir une GROSSE différence de fps si je change de processeur ou le i5 750 est encore très bon merci ! :)

For Arma 3 it will help a bit but it will help more when you put that game on SSD as it does greatly reduce stuttering for this particular game. Even with i7 4770k I sometimes drop to 20FPS in Arma 3 on full King of the Hill server.

 

In most games you wont see that much of an improvement though as you have GTX 760 so your system is actualy quite balanced performance wise.

CPU alone will just barely helps with FPS as long as you dont have better GPU to go with it.

It does in CPU heavy games. Problem is however that most CPU heavy games are heavy on single thread performance which is bummer.

Nah, Arma 3 is good optimized. The problem is that the map you play on is really huge with a lot of fidelity and also the game loads assets from HDD and there is the reason why puting it on SSD helps.. because believe it or not Arma 3 is maybe the only game that is bottlenecked by classic HDD read speeds.

 

I can safely tell you that putting that game on SSD will drasticaly improve your experience. It is HUGE difference even when your FPS will be the same it will feel like they doubled because of all the stuttering you will remove by that.
