Hello I have a little question ?

So I want to clean my ''old'' thermal paste on my I7 6700K, BUT I dont have alchool 99%....

Is there a new method ?

you can remove it using a microfiber cleaning cloths with hot water. its not the ideal but better than old thermal paste.
Just make sure there's no impurity before reapplying.

Aceton, but don't get it on anything other than CPU. It will damage the motherboard. CPU IHS will be fine tho. You can get away with any alcohol liquid as long as it's above 75% (don't quote me on that one). You don't want water tho. Use it as complete last resort but turn everything off and hold the power button so everything really is dead. And even then don't get it on the MB.

I wouldn't use water.

Use a microfiber cloth and get off as much as possible.

If a tiny smudge is left behind then that's fine.

It's not a race to the bottom.
