are you testing 1000 games for all the older cards? did they test all the old games on new consoles are the ones that were launched with it that were on both? given RTX and DLSS is the main key point of the new cards, why would you not cover it? its in the title RTX, i am not defending nvidia here, but HWUB has been consistently shitting on RTX like  "old man yells at cloud" since better part of the last year.

Not too long ago, the Hardware Unboxed Twitter posted a tweet revealing that NVIDIA has blacklisted them from receiving review samples of GeForce FE cards apparently over their focus on covering rasterized performance over ray-tracing performance. While this is unlikely to affect overall GeForce coverage (AIBs will provide them with the relevant products and the revenue from both views, sponsorships alongside Patreon should help as well), the move strikes as odd.
 
 
My thoughts
 I think NVIDIA PR is just trying to poke a sleeping (but not hibernating) bear in the form of the internet with this one. While the GeForce RTX 30 series cards are indeed exceedingly powerful, RT still remains as a “nice to have” feature due to how games like CP2077 can look stunning with it enabled, at the cost of halving frame-rates, not to mention the number of supported titles is still limited. 
 
I also find it funny that Hardware Unboxed has nothing but praise for the RTX 30-series lineup but NVIDIA PR somehow still finds it salty that RT isn’t covered.....and that is despite other outlets like Gamers Nexus also focusing much more on rasterization rather than ray-tracing.....because very few games make use of it...

NVIDIA has, according to Hardware Unboxed's words, "apologized" for the previous email and has walked back on previous demands and restrictions applied.

The thing barely beats the 3080 in most tests, it only really rivals the 3090 in AMD optimised titles.
 
Jay did notice some weirdness with power delivery and fan profiles though so AMD might fix it in software.

IDK, my experience with Adobe products tells me that it is very poorly optimized for... anything, basically.

Hell, the reason why 10-bit is even such a big deal in Nvidia-land is the fact that Adobe refuses to upgrade their APIs from OpenGL, where 10bit is locked to Quadros, to DirectX and Vulkan, where 10bit is supported on GeForce line

i read the title as 3080ti.i sold my 1070, without a card, i am so eagerly waiting for a 3080ti. playing R5 on Intel HD4600 graphics with 20 Fps is a nightmare. 

I am not impressed. No one should buy this GPU.
Terrible at everything. Can't even play DVD's.

I think the point was at some point in time Nvidia said something about getting these in to the hands of gamers, or something like that. Basically someone is wanting to point out that this seems a bit two faced if that was the case. 🤷‍♂️

how would this break microsofts tos? Microsoft already has a version of windows for arm, so licensing shouldn't matter the device it runs on. Or if its a vm, just license it like any other arm vm would be licensed.
