Speaking of dead my 780 is dead to me.

Nvidia is to Dr Dre Beets as AMD is to KFC.

One makes you broke, the other you can get more of and have a midnight snack from the fridge when hungry again. Once you go Nvidia, you go broked, turn into an Elitist, or get the incorrect amount of VRAM.

NZXT G10 + H55 will have you down to 50-60C.

I agree, its way above normal, but the G10 + H55 shouldn't be overlooked if he is willing to spend some coin.  I did it to my 780, never touch 50C now.

It always bums me out a little when the underdogs get kicked in the nuts.  The market has spoken, I guess?

Might be click bait, may not.

 

I do know for a fact that the writer, Gordon Ung, was the Editor in Chief of Maximum PC (which is under Future Publishing) until this past December. Seems he is now writing for PCWorld and other various internet hardware syndicates.

 

He concludes that Mantle "did what it was suppose to do and push Microsoft to advance".

This is a huge step for both Green and Red teams (if this is true). DirectX has far more funding and is already on  the majority of windows systems. 

Can't wait to see the next steps. Maybe DirectX open source for Linux ;) we can dream

That is a good idea. but sadly i have no room. and i dont want to spend 60-80$ on it just to buy new cards in a few months

Thats part of the beauty of the G10, it is compatible with new model cards.  Unlike the HG10 that is card specific.  The G10 is compatible with both AMD and Nvidia, and across almost all series, including the new yet to be released models.

I have issues with people running around saying this,  because might be true does not mean it is true.  It's o.k for us forum plebs to decide for ourselves what we wish to believe but it's not o.k for the media to state a possibility as a fact.

Grammar and spelling is not indicative of intelligence/knowledge.  Not having the same opinion does not always mean lack of understanding.

DX 12 was in development long before mantle was announced, people need to stop saying they pushed Microsoft to work on DX 12 by sayin  "did what it was suppose to do and push Microsoft to advance".

And it's not "dead". It just won't be released as public API 1.0 anymore.

Also addressing the (previously long lasting) issue without creating competition is a nice thing :)
