1st one

Athlon XP with the tiny stock heatsink + cooler that made a jet noise, even overclocked it to ~2.2 to have some extra FPS in Battlefield 2

still alive, sadly it lacks some instructions so it can't run modern software like windows 7 or a web browser

Of anything I owned, my former laptop. I still would put it to use had I not fucked the motherboard's charging port up.

Of the computers I own, it tends to be the phones that are the most quirky, software-wise. My Windows machines very seldom give me problems besides Windows processes deciding to eat my CPU (and battery) at random.

None of them. They're computers and will always have problems. If I had to pick one, it'd be my desktop as it's fast (ish, not really high end anymore) and has no big outstanding issue other than the front 3.0 ports which freeze the computer when anything is plugged in. Oh yes, and 4 case fans died from 3 different brands.

CPU - FX 8350 @ 4.5GHZ GPU - Radeon 5700  Mobo - M5A99FX Pro R2.0 RAM - Crucial Ballistix 16GB @ 1600 PSU - Corsair CX600M CPU Cooler - Hyper 212 EVO Storage - Samsung EVO 250GB, WD Blue 1TB

My first ever Mac, the 2011 MacBook Air 13" which I loved so much until the drives died somehow in 2016. It was amazing when it was running on Mac OS X Snow Leopard.

computers are insanely reliable, most of the times annoyingly reliable. Come on just die already i need an excuse to upgrade :D

Software on the other hand is what makes my computers less reliable, especially windows and it's updates from hell.

If in most reliable you mean "refusing to die," then that would definitely be my old Dell XPS 410 from 2006. It ran 24/7 for 6 years as a mini server for my dad's photography business, and then played Minecraft for 3 more years as it was my first PC. It never crashed and took whatever you threw at it, except for games since the graphics card was rather gutless (GeForce 7300LE).

In 2015, I became interested in computer hardware and opened the XPS 410 for the first time in 9 years. Dust. Everywhere. Both the CPU and hard drive intake fans were completely clogged with a centimeter-thick pad of dust and pulling it all out took a long time. Somehow, nothing had overheated and died the entire time it was like that. Soon later, I dissected the graphics card and found that the thermal paste had dried up and left the GPU die with no contact on the tiny heatsink. No wonder it idled at 70C and ran horribly. Then, I gave it a 750Ti, 8GB of DDR2 RAM, and a Core 2 Quad Q6600 and it ran perfectly, albeit a bit hot. The chipset got so hot for so long that the back of the green motherboard had started to turn slightly brown where it was affected by the heat.

Nevertheless, the PC soldiered on, and is now my sister's school PC enjoying a nice retirement. For now. Who knows what I'll do with it in the future? The design is so simple and parts so cheap that if anything breaks, I can fix it with pocket change.

shout out to this old H55 (asetek) that I've had running for....6 years? 24 hours a day 7 days a week with down time for updates and moving the computer. Not exactly a part you buy for that kind of use but key same shit they put in servers so...

I've had air coolers die in that amount of time. It's been on 3 computers I think. Might not be original fan though to be fair, original was loud as shit

Most reliable computer I have on hand is the one I'm sitting beside :)

The laptop, the Asus ROG G75VW-DS73-3D was reliable for its time before it ran into some pretty bad thermal issues. It would frequently shut down. Unfortunately, the hardware that's in it is incapable of running modern games at 60 FPS, even with the settings turned down, whether it's at 1080p, 900p, or 720p. Blame that on the GeForce GTX 670M 3GB, which has now gone onto legacy support since it's a Fermi-based rebrand of the GeForce GTX 570M. One other thing it needs is a fresh install of Windows 10, since it is sloooooow.

I never had an issue with most of them, if I didn't do it myself.

Ooooh a fellow G40 owner!

Have you used "no 1802" to make it work with ANY wifi card? I did, mine has wifi now :D

Mine has a 3ghz P4, 1GB RAM, and a 60GB SSD. Battery still works like new, has about 95wh of capacity left

For me, shockingly, my macbook is the most reliable machine I own.

Why? It doesn't run windows :P
