All complaints about moderation that I have been made aware of have either been completely unfounded or the result of misunderstandings or miscommunication, but if there was a case of moderator abuse then we would consider that to be a serious problem, and deal with it accordingly.   C

By long, you mean "tall"?

 

In either case, it's to increase the heatsink, fan count, fan size, or a combination of them all in the name of better thermals. (Initially thought that was an H440 but a check of the profile updates my theory to Noctis 450. I was on the right track. Anyways) older cases tend to have issues with newer cards due to the front plates meant to support more HDD's being inset from the side panle creating less clearance for both taller and longer cards. Cases like my Level 10 GT definitely would still struggle fit the monster cards of today even though it's a full tower due to those reasons (in my case, the added height would likely cause power connectors to conflict with the side mount fan)

I noticed you're using a 120mm AIO.

What's your opinion on it, and do you think it would be worth it to get one?
I'm currently running a Ryzen 5 3600 and I want to (but probably won't) upgrade to a 5900X.

The 3060ti have no reason to be the same length as 3090

 

If you look closely, most 30 series GPU are almost the same length and have two screw holes at the end in the same spot, makes me think Nvidia actually gave them a standard to follow

There are exceptions that are shorter or don't have the holes, but all 4 of mine does.

 

Also, length and width, one made me remove a drive cage that I need, one made it harder to plug in the power connector on 3090

Yes it does, and it's really simple: less unique parts = reduce manufacturing costs. Does the 3060ti need the monster cooler? No, but neither did the Asus GTX 1060 Strix, the same cooler used on the 1080ti. But why redesign the strix card for a 1060 when it works just fine?

The only reason you should get one is if you cant fit a Standard tower cooler into your system (low clearance like mITX builds for example)

 

120mm and 140mm (which is what I have) perform similarly to 155-160mm Standard height towers with a single 120mm fan, but they cost 2x as much. I went with it because I wanted an AIO, but didnt want to sacrifice the 200mm fans my case has, and I didnt want or need something like an NH-D14 (at the time). My 4790k is cooled just as easily by the Cryorig H7 that's on it now as it was with that AIO, so there's no performance or noises advantage with smaller radiator configurations. Only space restricted cases benefit. 

 

(I build that system in 2014, I didnt know a lot back then but the AIO still works so there's no reason to switch it out anymore)

Inno3d uses different cooler (ichill line) for 3060ti, 3070 and 3080/90 respectively, if my memory serves me right

But they're all the same length

 

I'm not too sure about other brands but I'd find it hard to believe that their xx60ti card share the same heatsinks as xx90

Why waste more money on materials?

 

Also the screw hole isn't explained.
