Can some explain GNs the disappointment about the NZXT fix?

No need to recall all riser cables if a plastic screw fixes the issue. The only thing which would have been nice is a sticker/warning label for the riser so it is clear that you shouldn't use metal screws with it.

havent watch the video yet, but this is the main concern, probably

@Moonzy But it is resolved?

The only concern I picked up was that somebody sometime could use a metal screw hence a warning label would have been nice so nobody accidentally creates a unsafe state.

im assuming that using nylon screw doesnt have issues, but people dont know that they dont know about the issue, and may cause fire when they use a metal screw, unknowing that there's an issue with it

yes and no, it doesn't fix anything.

Itr just slows down the issue of happening, also that the layers of the hole gets cut off by those used with metal screws leaving open traces that.

So if metal dust or anything else comes inbetween the nylon screw will do nothing.

That's why you normally would put a warning label/sticker on there.

Since you anyway reworked it you could have also added a lose sheet to the handbook (or somewhere) so those buying the case now are aware of it (beside the label which should have been there).

There are a bunch of labels which are required but as a rule of thumb: If it is reasonable to assume something is problematic add a warning label and place the information why there is a label in a easily accessible spot and let people know that this information exits (also train them to not ignore them in the first place but this is a different problem).

example Label:

bright yellow with a symbol on the black riser

large: Do not use metal screws.

smaller: For details see ...

this is an ass backwards solution, just replace the pcie riser is probably less work and would satisfy everyone and prevent all future issues related to it

So how's everyone doing today?

Average for the day/time, enjoying myself but the sense of doom draws ever closer, and closer. . .

How are you?

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie,
        In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
        In Flanders fields.

Cry havoc and let slip the Togs of war.  (Signature V3)

Just a random thought; someone should make a Top Gear* (or at least Top Gear-style) intro (excluding the TONIGHT! part of it) of all the footage there is available of LTT reviewing/showcasing a car.

* It should be inspired by the Clarkson-era version of the intro.

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

I got a 3.3 out of 3.5 on my AP Human Geo MCQ... but I took it in the wrong Canvas course.

I also got a 4/4 on my formative math quiz and I guessed on 2 of the questions.

Random question:

How does moderator "retirement" work?

Question: Is it possible to rename your image files on the forum after they've been uploaded? Or at least is there some option to give them a title that doesn't affect their file name and allows for organization? I seriously have a lot of images with the file name image.png and then I cannot find them in the "Insert existing attachment" search bar.
