What coins are you mining currently?

Hey all, sorry for another mining question.

 

I am currently mining ETH and LBC, it's just a test at the moment. But want to know what others are mining and why if relevant please?

 

I am currently getting approx 23.3 - 24.2MH/s on ETH and 21.8 - 23.2 on LBC on my Zotac 6GB 1060 AMP edition, OC'ed the mem by +959 and lowered power to 85%, seems to be working fine, not crashing or anything, and approx 24MH for ETH is the best I could get it at the moment.

I have this sitting in my main rig right now to do the testing. Am using claymore dual miner 10.2 for Nvidia.

I mine ether Using claymore with +390 CORE +750 Memory And I get 95MH And make 15$ A day since im on solar. With my gtx 1080

how in the world are you getting 95MH/s with Eth mining? i got a 1070 with that much memory and i dont even get half that. i get like 32Mh/s

Is anyone actually turning a profit? And I mean factoring all hardware cost and power bill (if you're underage, you can't say power is free if your parents are paying the bill)

going to be setting up the Toaster as a miner to run for fun because its quiet and i already have the hardware, its got a 1050 TI so il see what i end up mining, probably ETH

Quite easily, my electricity is included in the rent, I pay the same rent no matter how much electricity is used, and the "hardware" is just my gaming PC that I also use to mine when i'm not gaming or not at home, so no hardware cost to factor in really. Even paying for electricity most people will profit, it's the people who've bought GPU's(and for some coins even CPU's) specifically to mine with that will have a hard(or rather, long) time before making a profit.

Im mining Zcash on both my main desktop that has a 1060 6GB as well as my mining rig i built that has various AMD cards in it. That has been the most profitable for me so far

If electricity we're included, I'd prob mine again. Been super critical of mining mostly from being burnt out of a high power bill and nothing to show for it when I tried a couple years ago lol

on topic: I use awesome miner and profit switching with 2 gtx 970's and an rx480. my rx480 needs help... it doesn't like being stable. at stock speeds it will crash or even reboot the system every few days. may just be awesome miner idk. it seems to always crash shortly after closing an remote desktop session. ill need to put it in my desktop one of these days and play some games on it to see if it's just that or not. ive tried a bunch of driver versions too...

 

the 970 in that same system is one of those zotac mini one's. does like 270 MH/s on zcash with a 85% power target. i dont really pay attention to hashrates much unless they are ridiculously low.. my other 970 will get 290 MH/s with the same settings. it's a bigger msi overclocked card in my main desktop...

My 1060 and my 980 Ti are currently mining Zcash using EWBF Miner on Flypool. I usually convert the Zcash to Monero when the rate is good tho. Didn't need to adjust anything on the GPUs since they stay at a rather cool 75C but man my room feels toasty after a few minutes

What ALTcoin are people mining, LBC has been crap for me, at first it was going OK, then overnight my balance dropped from .7 to .3 even though I didn't change anything.

Am now using Ethminer pool instead and that seems to be doing OK, but would like to mine another coin at the same time, any recommendations please?

Lol yeah. I bought a 7950 for $80 2 years ago. I have made over $2000 with it and about $400 in electricity costs.

Could you please List which GPUs you are using x how many, and which mining program and pool you are using, and of course which coins and Hash rate/sol or whatever you are getting please, would really appreciate it, thank you

 

I am considering whether to move to zcash if that looks more profitable. I am just testing the waters right now, but ethereum is kinda profitable, roughly $2 per card per day, dependent on market fluctuations etc.

Currently:-

Main - 24.4MH/s average Ethereum, using Ethermine pool and claymore dual mining prog.

Secondary - 244MH/s average Siacoin, using nanopool.

 

The whole rig is using approx 140-150W per hour, so costing approx 43p per day to run... measured with meter.

When I get 7 cards in @75W each   approx 650W (50W allowed for variance) £1.72 per day to run and should net me £330 profit per month. Of course there will be fluctuations, but if I sell at the right time I can hopefully get somewhere near that amount.

I won't have 7 cards to start with, I will have 4, but those should get me approx £186 profit per month, then I will add whatever I need to that amount to buy the extra card each month, which in turn will push the profit up... I plan to do this until I have maxed the pci-e slots I have available, which is 7. Then depending on how this goes in reality I may start another rig, and may buy a proper mining board, which will work out cheaper in the long run with it's 19 pci-e x1 slots.

 

Before all the negative, please bear in mind I am NOT a moron, I have considered the consequences, and know that mining is NOT a stable environment. That's one reason I have decided that after the initial investment is earned back, approx 7 months... then I might start saving some coins in the hope of the market share cost going up... I will also be mining secondary coins that I will not sell, and keep as an investment.

Please try not to be negative, believe me I have considered many things with this, and I will still have the hardware to mine other coins or even sell, should the worst happen and ether shits it's pants, or is not able to be mined any more.

 

Please DO share what you are mining and on what etc... would be much easier if there were a database of this so noobs could look and see. I would do one myself, but as I am pretty much a noob myself, I wouldn't want to give inaccurate information.

Just wanted to add this

 

 

I am running with case closed right now, when open it's about 5C cooler. BTW these cards are brilliant, fans are near enough silent, no coil whine or anything, can just hear the air moving if you're right close to it... and this is with fan speed set to match temp, am really pleased with this card.

For my electroneum a single rx480, underclocked/volted core to 1100, - 50mv and 2250mhz on the memory. Temps are pretty nice, 45% fan speed with closed case hits 68-70c. Also uses between 50-70 watts for 630-650h/s. Using claymore crypto note miner. 

 

Also run my R5 when I get bored, varies between 300-400 hashes/second when using 4 threads. Normally just leave it as gpu only though. 

 

Profit.. I have no idea. Electroneum jumps between 7-10C a coin quite a bit, and my highest coins in a single day so far is 48(ran for 24 hours straight) average about 35 coins/day

Electroneum (ETN) is a pretty new currencythat's based on monero. I was part of the ICO and dropped about 0.03 ETH in but it was delayed due to improvement works. It's out now tho and I'm holding about 1002 ETN from the ICO.

I'm up to 210 or so after mining on/off for the last week. Not much(like $15 with current price)but better than making no money

 

There's a petition to get it added to coinbase atm too, the price would see a nice jump if it got onto there, I'm sceptical it will though.

Not 100% settled in. Still experimenting with different miners and coins but this has been most profitable for me so far.
