I mean my one friend in the Air Force pays $100 a month for a 1 gig down, no idea what his up is. Note he does have to pay for his own internet and is just in a very convenient spot to get it cheap.

Can't tell ya.聽 Ask your local ISPs in your area.聽 Where I'm at there's only one ISP besides satellite internet and we get a max of 50x25.聽聽

It all depends on your area and what they offer.

10Gbps fiber connections.

There are several towns, such as Salisbury NC, that offer 10Gbps connections to consumers.

It depends what kind of Internet service you have. These numbers may vary.

Fiber: 2 Gbps

Cable: 300 Mbps

Satellite: 50 Mbps

In my area just barely South of Atlanta, the fastest speed available is 150Mbps down, or 250Mbps down for people wanting to spend over $100 a month on internet alone.

SRT still does DSL and they actually have some areas getting 1Gbps on bonded DSL.聽 It's possible, but it's DSL, so why would you want to.

My Apartment complex just recently signed a contract with a local ISP to have fiber to our buildings. I have the options of: 50up/50down for $50 USD/month or 100/100 for $75/month. Currently I have 50/50, and it is awesome.

Depends on what you want to pay. If you can afford a custom drop then most of the time they will give you whatever you want. I currently have a 5Gbps symmetric drop from AT&T. If you will foot the bill of installation to get it to you, they will give it to you.

they stopped bundling the Google Cable TV service in the new cities they are adding and instead suggesting people get the FAR INFERIOR channel lineup of Youtube TV.

to the OP it HIGHLY depends on your location, the PEAK speeds available in my area are 150 down 20 up, but if you live to far out and get stuck with DSL you are capped at 5 down and maybe 1 or 2 up (I haven't run a speed test on a DSL connection in a long time). like others have said some areas have gotten Fiber and get Gigabit, the NATIONAL AVERAGE speed is 18.75 down.
