well true but that plan doesn't exist here

well then you either have to move or deal with it

Hi guys, I am running a file share server with my friends and my upload speeds are very slow. Yes yes i know that the isps have more downstream channels and less upstream. Is there a isp that gives you "symmetrical" internet.

Usually the only ones who gfive you symetrical are Fiber to the Home and thats not always 100%.

So... what are tests saying about your speed? I'd recommend SppedOfMe test instead of Speedtest.

they offer great upload. I kind of never went for charter because of the poor upload

Thats pretty decent up speed. You are going to pay more for upload than download speed. Consumers don't generally use that much upload so it isn't prioritized.

Then pay more for the 300/20 plan (which costs ~$300 to upgrade to as well, or did last I checked) or go business class and pay them in souls of children :)

You can't magically get more speed.

Upgrading to business class internet is not likely an option.  Most ISPs actively restrict access to those plans to actual businesses, and they will not allow them in residential locations.  The ISP I used to work for was strict on that.

ISPs don't like to compete so if you've checked the (probably) 2 or 3 ISPs in your area, then you're generally SOL.

Charter Spectrum.

Cable internet due to the limitations of DOCSIS 3.0 has a lot more download than upload. Until Charter upgrades to DOCSIS 3.1 Full Duplex, I would not expect amazing uploads.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.
