hi i have a server with windows server 2019 and connectify Hotspot/Dispatch PRO installed, my problem is that even if i disable the windows firewall i can remotly access the server only via LAN, if i forward a port like 22 (which is the one that i need), from external network it is not reachable, i think that the problem may be Connectify Driver but i'm not sure. Some advice? PS i have other servers that uses ports too, i have tested port 221 on another and it worked so i'm sure the problem is the Computer that i have described before

For some reason I get random disconnects from my ethernet, the wifi works perfectly fine its just the etherenet. Ive checked the cable, replaced the cable, checked the wall adapter, replaced the wall adapter, tried using a diffrent wall socket, checking the router, turning the routrer on and off, checked the wall adapter at the router side, replaced the wall adpater at the router side, tried connecting to the router itself, updated the drivers, unistalled and reinstalled the drivers, checked that windows 10 hadnt had it set to "turn off to save power" or eco mode or what ever its called. hotspot 5G Mobile hotspot from Strict NAT to Open NAT? Pc Gaming.
Hudayfah posted a topic in Networking
So I have Unlimited 5G data on my phone which I use as hotspot for everything on pc including downloading games. If I use the Google Speed Test it shows 70mbps Down and 50mbps Up and only 5ms ping. It's not the full blown 5G as it's not officially available in my area yet but some days I can get up to 120mbps Down and 70mbps Up. So it's really great especially when I game on my top spec portable Gaming Laptop (10k Time Spy). The only problem I have is on many online games I get a message upon loading about my network being on Strict NAT mentioning that multiplayer experience may be -
Hi I have problem connecting from the internet to my server with windows server 2019 on it for testing purposes I have already disabled windows Firewall but it is still unreachable. I do not have installed any type of antivirus/firewall software, in the past I’ve had Glasswire installed but I have uninstalled it some times ago, so I don’t think it can cause problem. I have no idea what the problem could be, some advice? thank you

Hello, So basically I came back from work and noticed that all the small wires like the front panel connectors and the USB cables and fan cables were disconnected. I noticed because when I pressed the power button it didnt turn on. Turns out my grandpa kicked my pc on accident. Anyways, I reconnected all the cables and my pc boots completely normally. No issues. The only problem is that when I play games. Mainly warzone. I lose internet connection after maybe 5 to 15 mins of gaming. I have tried wifi and lan. I have tried updating bios. I have tried reseating everything(wifi car

Hi, Happy New Year!! I am in the UK and currently use EE as our ISP and we are currently using the ISP provided smart hub. But we are having issues of devices being kicked off randomly. After some research found that as we are quite intense internet users and have a few network devices this can happen. I am looking for a new wireless, router, modem combi unit. I have decided on either a ASUS DSL-AC68U or TP-Link AC2800. Can anyone recommend one over the other? I have an unraid server, some Amazon and Roku devices, laptops, plus I am moving into

Hi, so I’m probably going to buy a power line adaptor as I can’t run Ethernet and the wifi is bad. I just want to know: A. Will they work if they are on different electrical circuits but connected to the same breaker? B. Is there a way to work out how much of the signal will be lost over a distance?

How risky is it to use a Windows XP computer for basic internet use? I know the OS is long abandoned as far as security patches, but what are the real risks of using the internet on it? This obviously wouldn't be my main web browsing device. It would just be from time to time if I want to download an app or something without having to put the installer on a USB drive from my other PC and manually transfer the file. Also, is it a bad thing to leave the device always connected to internet, even when not using it for web browsing? I have a WiFi adapter connected to the device, but I currently lea

Hi all, I need help with a peculiar problem. Let's get the specs out the way first: OS: Windows 10 64-bit, version 2004, build 19041.685 CPU: Intel Core i7 9700k (stock, waiting on my IceGiant ProSiphon before I push my poor 6yo Corsair H100i even harder with an OC) Motherboard: Asus Prime Z370-P, BIOS v.2401 GPU: MSI Armor OC GTX 1080 RAM: Corsair Vengeance 16GB (2x8GB) 2666MHz (XMP enabled) PSU: Corsair RM750 Storage: Samsung 970 Pro 1TB NVMe SSD + 2x 850 EVO 500GB SATA SSD Router 1: NETGEAR R9000 Nighthawk X10, firmware V1.0.5.24 Ro

I started having this problem around 4 or 3 days ago and I've tried everything that I've seen in other web pages and videos and nothing has helped. I'm connected to the internet through an ethernet cable and I can navigate on the internet normally but whenever I go to YouTube and I watch a video at 2160p a couple of minutes after I started watching the video, my computer is unable to connect to the internet. I just troubleshoot the problem and its fixed. it says "The default gateway is unavailable. Fixed." and the internet comeback and I can navigate normally until I watch a YouTube video.

I have tested 2 different PCs in the house while trying to limit for differences between tests. The PCs use different components, but I built them both and they both work as expected. I am testing the internet speeds on both using speedtest by Ookla. I am using the same cat6 ethernet cable connected directly to our modem for both PCs. The process is as follows: I test PC A and it has a download of ~950Mbps (close to the gigabit we pay for), and then I immediately unplug the ethernet cable from PC A and plug it into PC B and test the internet on PC B which is then ~150-200Mbps. What could be ca

Looking for some advice on my current router/modem setup. Below is the hardware I am currently using: Router: Netgear Nighthawk AX8 8-Stream AX6000 Wi-Fi 6 Router - RAX80-100NAS Modem: NETGEAR Cable Modem CM1000 I use Specturm internet with the 400/30 speeds. I have read there are multiple slowness issues with the router that I currently use: https://community.netgear.com/t5/Nighthawk-Routers-with-WiFi-6-AX/RAX80-unstable-and-slow/m-p/1798869#M2890 The above post in particular was what I used to fix the issues in the past. Pretty much a factory r

So recently I switched over to Fido's 150 mb plan, and went through a bunch of modem swaps, and ended up with the coda-4582u. So far while using this modem, my connection has been mostly stable, sometimes I'll still get unstable ping for periods of time, however there's been one really major issue that has been bugging me. Every so often, while in the middle of an online game, my internet will lag in such a way that I can hear my friends still talking in discord, see other players moving in the game for a while, but I can't move my character, and my friends can't hear me talking in discord (lo

To whomever is reading this, thank you. I built a new gaming pc with an ASUS ROG Z490-E gaming motherboard, i7-10700k. My understanding is that the gigabit adapter supports up to 2.5 gigabit ethernet speeds. well im only getting around 350 speeds. At first I thought it must be my ISP. After several hours of talking to them, nothing. I didnt have any other device to test with a gigabit port until now, I just finished rebuilding my wifes pc and her pc gets the full gig speed. So now im pulling my hair wondering why this very expensive pc isnt giving me what its supposed to. I tried manually sett

I'm in the process of building new house. Plans are being finalized with the builder, but as a self-identified tech junkie I can't help but wonder what preparations I would need for the builder to ensure my house is fiber-ready. We've already established where the majority of the networking will be located. Will be wiring the house with Cat6a to help futureproof for 10G networking. The question really lies on what wiring/hardware would I need installed between the modem (or I guess what is actually an ONT?) to where the service line terminates from the ISP. Currently, I

Okay so as crazy as it sounds, high speed WiFi is kinda new to me so bear with me here. My roommate and I have the exact same PCIe WiFi card as we unfortunately cannot use ethernet connections at our new house . Specifically its the TP-Link AX3000 (Archer TX50E). Our ISP is AT&T, and we are signed up for the 1,000 plan. Our connection is a symmetrical fiber optic connection, so our download and upload speeds should be roughly the same from what I understand. I am getting about around about 600-700 down (not the full speed but its WiFi so I obviously expected that), and about 500-600 up.

Hi everyone, so I'm having quite some problems with downloads speeds. Some context: I have done a clean windows installation becuase I changed motherboard and processor. Previously when using Steam I had download speed that were near the 600Mbps that I have. Happens that now it is restraing for some reason to 5/7 Mbps at best. I have tried to download other things from sources that use and the same drop of speed has occurred. I have tried a lot of things that I have found on many sites, but none of them have fixed the issue. I have to add something important. When I (accidentally) lo

My wifi card is not showing up on my computer and as it turns out not only is it not showing up in device manager but it also doesn't seem to be appearing in the bios PCIE slot info. In that category only one thing is showing up as listed and that's the gpu. However my new wifi card does not look to be broken since the card is emitting a green light. At first I thought the problem was that windows wasn't recognizing my card since I suddenly lost my wifi option under network settings and the wifi card wasn't registering onto the computer and the card did not show up under hardware connections

my computer has no wifi option and my wifi card isn't registering at all on my week old gaming PC. The only internet option I have is ethernet. I've watched multpile YT videos on the subject and none of it worked. I've attempted to reset my network on the pc as well as reset the PC itself. I've used scan for hardware changes in device manager and nothing's worked. I disabled windows firewall to and that didn't solve it either. I've also used the command panel code netsh winsock reset and netcfg -d and that hasn't worked. I even switched wifi cards and that didn't solve the problem. I feel quit

Hello friends. I recently purchased the Orbi AX4200 (Rbk750) from Costco. This is the WiFi 6 orbi router with 2 additional satellites making a 3 piece set. I’m running a gigabit plan through my service provider (Cox Communications, 1000mbps down, 40mbps up) but I’m getting maybe 200mbps on the satellite that is hard wired to my PC, and around 150mbps on both myself and my girlfriend iPhone 12 pro when standing directly in front of main router. Living in a 1700 sqft 2 bedroom apartment. The layout is as followed: Arris Surfboard docsis 3.1 modem (capable of up to 2000mbps)
