Nivida GPUs work fine with freesync. It comes down to how much you wanna pay. There very close in price, it just depends on the type of card you wanna buy, though the 1060 6gb has faster memory, the 580 can handle more textures.

RX580 as you have freesync and the performance is basically the same.

RX580 is just the better card, the fact that you have a freesync monitor just brings more argument for it tbh. even if you didnt the 580 is the better card

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

They work with the monitor, but you can't actually use Freesync with them, to be clear

I have not used a GTX 1060 6GB but I have a RX 580 8GB w/ Freesync monitor and it has been exceeding my expectations for 1080p gaming at High/Ultra settings.   Don't overpay for one but it seems like the prices have come down quite a bit.  Enjoy your purchase!

No it doesn't. It can't use FreeSync. It will function like a monitor without FreeSync.

That’s just false... Freesync is exclusive to AMD
