The most amusing thing about the situation you described is that when a person has signed an NDA and has that privileged information any action on it essentially confirms it, by removing/editing public discussion that is just flagging it as correct information. It's best to just leave it alone and flag it with the correct people so they can contact the poster and get them to remove it IF they have signed an NDA.

I honestly think the biggest reason our posts were removed, was because company representatives were mad at the way we spoke during that discussion. Most of us came to the agreement that it was a bad time to buy laptops with CFL being so close to launch, due to the low powered U series getting a bump to 4c/8t on their 15w SKU's, and we were telling people to hold off. In one part of the discussion, an actual date was brought up on when a certain laptop with said CPU was launching, and it seriously irked the other representatives. Now, I completely understand why they would be angry, but I didn't bring it up, nor did I sign any NDA saying I could not discuss that info, so the notion the threats being made saying I would get in trouble by the law if I continued, made me laugh.

Z390 has been known about for a while.  It's the Cannonlake chipset vs. Z370 being rebadged Z270 (which they just upreved to Z370 so people wouldn't think CFL is compatible with Z270 motherboards).    Doesn't add anything interesting beyond I think integrating wifi.

Well this just keeps getting more and more convoluted by the day.  Intel needs to make up their minds and think for a second before making knee jerk reactions to what AMD is doing.  At least to me, it seems that is what is going on here.  Seems even more so now that the X299 platform is a train wreck.  I guess maybe we will see the legit X299 chips released around the same time or maybe they will just socket change the enthusiast platform again.

We're joking... but Microsoft might actually start doing that with Windows 10.

 

They're already doing bi-annual updates as DLC, it's just a matter of them hiring someone from EA to convince them to start charging for it.

So true! None of the Intel chips can give us free blow jobs while the technolog is already available on Nvidia GPUs for over 10 years. So bullshit.
