samsung's second dual camera phone is more affordable

there aren't any decent cheaper big.LITTLE CPUs right now. A53s are decent for most people but the flagship Snapdragon 835 and Exynos 8895 are a lot better.

Not sure what you mean here. The Snapdragon 650 is a big.LITTLE with two Cortex A72 cores and quad A53 cores. I believe Mediatek also has a similar SoC as well. These are the chips I would expect in the $200-400 range. Cortex A53 only chips really should go into sub-$150 price bracket at this point.

I beg to differ on the specs part. Would it kill Samsung to use a Snapdragon 650, or some other mid range part with a pair of Cortex A72s? Cortex A53 (only) should be relegated to the bargain basement by this point.

because it would minimize their profit & kill the other premium midrange A series. If you notice A series 2017 & J series 2017 have minimal difference. If there were not cheaper competitive, they would settle with more lower end processor actually, beside don't forget the implementation of their own Exynos chipset to reduce more cost & increase more profit.

and it's why I'm strongly considering the V30.

And of course it's sexy look.

Ultra wide is nice but for photos I could just take a panorama and have significantly more in the frame (max of 360° actually)

while i definitely enjoy the panorama feature, i find it less useful than i would imagine. my favorite part about is forcing failed panoramas to get funny pictures of me and my friends.

Samsung isn't even using an Exynos for this line. Using Cortex A53 based chips in $300-$400 is flat out cheaping out.

yeah just noticed mediatek helio p20, am not even surprised & they introduced dual camera with mediatek processor. I'm not sure what to expect from that chip for image processing. snapdragon 630 even could do better probably. nonetheless they are lot of people still buy phone seeing brand name duh.

Personally I find the ultra wide angle infinitely more useful, and it's why I'm strongly considering the V30.

I have the G5, and despite its enormous flaws (mainly GPS other other connectivity issues), I have never enjoyed taking pictures from a phone more so than the G5, and obviously the V30 will be better.

Space Journal #1: So Apparently i  was dropped on the moon like i'm a mars rover, in a matter of hours i have found the transformers on the dark side of the moon. Turns out its not that dark since dem robots are filled with lights, i waved hi to the Russians on the space station, turns out all those stories about space finding humans instead of the other way around is true(soviet Russia joke). They threw me some Heineken beer and I've been sitting staring at the people of this forum and earth since.
