Can someone check out this PC build to see if I can they can improve it please?

Budget (including currency): USD $1500 + Monitor

Country: America

Games, programs, or workloads that it will be used for:

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/tFCvxH

I have been researching and asking for help to upgrade from an integrated graphics laptop🥲🥲 but I need other people's opinions on this PC.

I will mainly play Fortnite in competitive settings(1080p high view distance, low textures, and MAX FPS) along with some popular AAA games.

If anyone has suggestions for better parts or ways to cut costs, it would be a great help.

It looks pretty good to me! Personally I would not go 1/2 and 1/2 black and white, but that is just personal preference. I would also invest in some more case fans, as you have a pretty high end system that can make some heat. A good choice would be Noctua NF-A15 PWM fans or Thermalright TL-C14C-S fans. Assuming you are getting the bundle from micro center, you may run out of fan/rgb headers on that mobo. Maybe consider an RGB/Fan controller, depending on how many additional fans you may add to your case. Overall good-looking build! Also if you wanted to cut costs, you could downgrade your GPU slightly, or go with the 7700x or 5800x3d bundle instead.

Don't pay that much for a 7800 XT, if you are paying that much for it get a 7900 XT

Also the psu is pretty meh cause non existent <10 year warranty so id swap it with a 1200w d.f.x at 111$ which has 350w extra capacity and a 10 year warranty

It is overkill but you dont really save much if you cut down the wattage to 850w where id reccomend an Xpg core reactor ii at 100$ so might aswell for something thatd last you for the next 12-17+ years or so

abit of a nitpick but id pick the Gammix s7 over the jps800 just because it has a dram cache but you probs wont notice the diff anyways even in 10 years so do whatever with the ssd just that the psu is a glaring issue

@filpo U think that the ADATA XPG Core Reactor II 850 W 80+ Gold Certified would be bettter?

If you have the money to spend, get a corsair PSU. I have a Rm750e, but you would probably want a RM850x or Rm850e. Granted they are a bit more expensive but the reliability and efficiency (not to mention noise) makes it worth it.

dfx 1200w is better and cheaper but thats more of a nitpick at this point, yes the rm850x is overpriced but atleast you still get a 10 year warranty unlike the rme where you pay more but only get a 7 year warranty and a loud fan to boot (look up rme fan noise)

obviously id reccomend the dfx over the corsair its flat out better due to the higher wattage and being cheaper but the rmx even if its overpriced for its wattage fixes the glaring issue of <10 year warranty psu so technically cant go wrong with either

at this point im just accepting the rmx as valid if it isnt ruining your specs due to how overpriced it is just because the (usually) overpriced rme exists

What us the point of more wattage if 850 is already more than you need?

I know its a big difference but do you think that for my needs this is overkill? Because I could save like $300 by getting a 7800xt and or a 5800x3d(I will need to save up for longer if I go with the current build)

just means that if you decide to upgrade your hardware even if you do a massive upgrade you wont need to do a psu swap, also just means itll be more efficient at full load or just understressed so it lasts longer than the expected 12-17+ years

your choice though if you wanna overpay for an 850w rmx thats fine cause it still has a proper warranty and no fan noise complaints or buy a 1200w dfx and save money whilst getting a beefier psu cause you arent exactly gonna be able to do anything with the 15$ saved anyways except maybe you can put a thermalright aio instead of the peerless assassin if you want a more aesthetic build

Get the 7800X3D, it's worth it for fortnite. But you can go for a 7800 XT if you want but don't go back to am4

ok any recogmendations for a good 7800xt? I was looking at the 7800xt steel legend by asrock but its not much less so its not worth it at that point. If not I can just go with the 7900xt

I looked at my setup and I think that a black PC would look better(white desk with black legs, mostly black and some white secret lab chair)

if you're gonna spend that much for a 7800 XT then it's definitely best to get the 7900 XT over that
