I have honestly never thought about this subject. and it can understandably be truly a hard question to answer unlike some of you guys that answered relatively shortly.

 

In my opinion it is what I don't know that pushes myself forward and yet I do find myself day in and day out never pushing myself to do something different. I may be stuck in a rut with my life and just need that one thing to really push myself in a new direction. Each day I find myself waking up doing the usual human need then getting on the PC and gaming or heading off to work; get home and get back on the PC. Sleep and repeat. I recognize the fact that I have the problem that I fear the unknown and want to have a purpose as to why I go out and leave the house to go do something. Too often than not I want to know the unknown but make too many excuses to not find them out.

 

As humans there is  always something that gives us the drive to continue to live even those that contemplate suicide they do innately have a reason to live but are not immediately seeing it. 

 

I live to be myself but at the same time be someone that is me but different. The drive to become someone that is wholly better than I currently am.

Rn I just want to hit top 500 for Season 6 or 7 in Overwatch. I've improved every season so top 500 should be within reach a season or two from now, right?

 

I think just hitting GM is top 5000 for NA PC, so I just need to beat 4500 people lol.

if you have to insist you think for yourself, i'm not going to believe you.

I'll find a new game to become the best at. Yea I don't do much else with myself, so that's my drive to do stuff.

Having said that if you search my post history you will find plenty of spelling mistakes and incorrect word usage.    Fortunately this doesn't stop me correcting people. xD

Grammar and spelling is not indicative of intelligence/knowledge.  Not having the same opinion does not always mean lack of understanding.

I have no plans to die. I'm sure it will come as a complete surprise, and the process will take way too long, but being dead I won't be able to reflect on it.

 

Death won't hold any surprises, it'll be just like the previous eternities that unfolded before I arrived.

 

What keeps me here is the new, and the need to see what happens. Maybe if it gets too painful I'll check out early. We'll see.

If I am to be completely frank, my chief reason to live is simply the fact that I am alive.

 

As for my two major secondary drives:

-Learning.

-Strong AI. Think GLaDOS, Cortana, Data, HAL 9000, EDI... I honestly can't tell how far we are, but that is what truly interests me.

-Because you actually care if it makes sense.

As boring as being a lawyer sounds, I love every minute of it.  To the average person, reviewing a 300 page documents sounds very mind numbing, but I find it very rewarding.
