Galaxy S8 Active released-durable and awesome looks

So, as the tradition seems to be, there's always an S model in March and an S Active model in August which sports a durable casing but retaining the same core functions as the S. This year's no exception with the announcement of the Galaxy S8 Active.

So yes, this is the Galaxy S8 Active. It's got the same specs, camera and core shape as the S8, but has some key differences. First off, it isn't the Infinity display with curved edges, which it shouldn't be, as curved glass is more fragile than flat one. Also it has a bit bigger bezels, but personally I don't mind it.

It will also have a 4000mAh battery, a big improvement over the standard S8. Also it's thicker than the S8, but I will trade of a bigger battery for a thicker phone any day.

It's better, I don't want curved screens. Better battery is great

Wow that 4000mah battery. I already get insane battery life on my S8+, I couldnt imagine the battery life with that phone. Too bad its on shitty at&t only.

How I plan my builds -

For me I start with the "There's no way I'm not gonna spend $1,000 on a system."

Followed by the "Wow I need to buy the OS for a $100!?"

Then "Let's start with the 'best budget GPU' and 'best budget CPU' that actually fits what I think is my budget."

Realizing my budget is a lot less, I work my way to "I think these new games will run on a cheap ass CPU."

Then end with "The new parts launching next year is probably gonna be better and faster for the same price so I'll just buy next year."

This release (unlike previous ones) will only be a time limited exclusive, so if this is your jam, you should at least be able to pick it up in retail later on.

I still prefer my S7 Active, since it has physical buttons.  Also, I don't like the placement of the fingerprint scanner (which is on the same physical buttons that are lacking on the S8A).

You can unlock the device and take it to another GSM carrier.  I bought my S7A on eBay of all places (it was $150 cheaper, and still brand new), and it was already unlocked by the seller.  I use AT&T, so I didn't need it unlocked; but I have the option of switching at any time, if I so choose.
