when will the ethereum bubble burst?

Zed_

So., it's been like what, around 2 months? and the price of Graphics card are not going down as much. When will the God almighty bless us and the ethereum bubble will finally burst? and we can start building a rig.

Still shopping for a 1070? There's a handful of stores coming to stock with them...though $489 for a MSI quick silver from Newegg is still very steep...I think they're going to sell out soon as well.

AMD GPUs are still nowhere to be seen. haha.

I am waiting for the price drop so that I can fit some other things in my PC building list but the prices are not going down.

The industry boom does not have much time left to it, I wouldn't be worth it to build a rig dedicated to it.

How could you buy one? they are out of stock everywhere?, You'd have to pay like $500 for a new one.

Yea, that's why I am not. Just waiting and searching for a good deal if not waiting is the only option

Yeah, I think it'll go down soon. I'm trying to sell off my 1070s before then though.

Problem is any gamer would just pay the $50-80 extra to get a 1080...and a miner...well, they would want the cards for cheap so they can ROI quicker.

In the past week, the sold listings for 1070s have been from $430 to $530...new or used.

Yeah, prices are down overall (Ethereum in particular) from the peaks, but if they stabilize roughly around this level, many coins are still going to be profitable to mine. You might see supply catching up with demand of these video cards, though. It's hard to guess future price movements and how many latecomers will join or existing miners will try to add to their collections.

No, you're wrong, it's going to explode and graphics cards will rain down upon us any minute now, because people who are mad they didn't get in early enough have said so and say so every day :P

It dips down a few dollars? That means an implosion is imminent!

Seriously, it does suck for people who want to buy and build rigs right now but there isn't much that can be done aside wait it out :(

Umm, yeah, pop the bubble called Earth.

Considering how long Pascal cards have been out, what are the chances that Volta will release before mining hits a standstill?

Well if they use GDDR5X or HBM2 then they won't be snatched up like crazy, those two are worse for mining compared to just GDDR5 from what I understand.
