The royal family are nothing more than a tourist attraction.

When a group of people are counted as more valuable than another, not because they have done more, not because they have done something for the human race, but due to their blood is completely ridiculous.  We are all humans here on a tiny spec of dust in this fast universe.

While I agree, and nowadays the royal family are purely a figurehead, in the past it was important for the English to look up to someone when they needed to, regardless of their achievements.

 

The same applies to any royal family, not just English.

I think a massive construction of the royal family in the middle of the sea much like the Statue Of Liberty making silly poses is a much better attraction than keeping these old farts around that do nothing. ;)
