I know thats a dumb title, get over it. But do you go scavenge around in shops or just order straight from the web? Also, whats your go to website? Explain! I usually use amazon and newegg.

You could use something like PCPartPicker to find the cheapest prices (from all stores they have listed). There are some local equivalents for myself.

 

I personally have a small list of shops I would buy from. I'm okay with shipping personally, but some people will only go to physical shops.

I generally just buy from the same shop, but I do buy my parts over a longer period to get the best deals.

I buy from the same shop because they have really good support and I know some of the guys working there.

Before you buy amp and dac.  My thoughts on the M50x  Ultimate Ears Reference monitor review I might have a thing for audio...

Direct Canada, NCIX, Newegg, and Amazon from online. Canada Computers locally if they have a good sale, because their shipping prices are outrageous.

In Indonesia there's OLX.co.id and it's nice because it works like ebay, and can search nearby sellers that sells what thing you're searching

If I ever buy CPUs or motherboards, I go to Microcenter. For some reason CPU and mobo combos are really cheap there, I love it.

 

Otherwise, I buy from Amazon, Newegg, or eBay.

I used to be quite active here.

i wish i could physically go out to a store and by parts but living in a tiny ghetto town it dosent really work

Yeah.. DFW in Texas is great. Got a Fry's, Micro Center, lots of smaller shops. All less than half an hour away.

First in the back of the local computer store and in the garbage. Another option is that the computer store in question places the parts I need. If I can not go out so jimms.fi will supply my need.
