It is a very bad card, It makes no sense to get it, you can get same or better performance with a integrated graphics card on any recent Intel CPU or AMD APU. It performs badly even at 720p.

Never buy a GT 730. Ever. It's not worth it.

BOINC Setup:
i5 7200U @ Stock

Core2Duo T6600 @ Stock

i3 2330M @ Stock

i5 3210M @ Stock

It is not capable enough for most games and is not good value.  What is your budget.

Maybe considering getting a proper budget Graphics Card like the AMD RX480 if you can slightly increase your budget.

By the way, what is your budget for this build?

Get a GTX 1050 or a rx460, stay away from GT cards those are awfully underpowered cards that aren't worth the cost

If money is such an issue that you're considering a GT 730, you should probably be looking at the used market. A mid-range card even several years old will still be faster than that. CPUs have faster graphics than a GT 730 built right into them these days.

definitely.  You have to go used if you want to stick to this budget unless you are fine with below-shit performance.  SOME Integrated GPUs would even beat SOME of the GT series cards.

Going used for such a low budget is a much better idea.

You can usually get a 6950-6970 for that price and they are much better.

Well, I said "these days" to mean recent CPUs. As far as I know, any iGPU from Skylake and up will likely come very close to or beat a GT 730. It's a little hard to be certain because they aren't benchmarked all that often.

No 'GT' cards are trash. If you are on a tight budget look at the RX 460 2GB, GTX 1050 2GB, GTX 1050Ti 4GB or RX 470 4GB.

Can confirm, my 6600 iGPU was... ok for 1280x1024, but I had the plan of upgrading to my current 1060. I DEFINITELY wouldn't get a 730 now, it really isn't an enjoyable experience and it's not even a good price

That's an F in the profile pic

I got my geforce gtx 460 on ebay for 35 dollars plus shipping. And with a nice OC on it, it performs waaay better than the 730 ever could.

Used cards are definitely the way to go under budget.

Better dead than Red.

If you are getting a first GPU for your rig you should wait for a while to save up for a better (at least tolerable/decent) GPU.
