$4000 Video editing/ gaming rig help

The mobo is gold/black, the gpu is silver/black, the fans and lights are blue. I don't have a theme. I am using nff12's for performance

I will just google it, I want perfect colors, and I believe it is a matter of software and hardware..

Oh I just realized I recommended the wrong color. I was recommending a red/black theme with the asrock mobo. http://pcpartpicker.com/part/prolimatech-case-fan-prorv14led

The sickleflows don't perform as well as the NF-F12's but they are just as good as the stock h100i fans but much quieter. Up to you if you don't mind the look.

Getting the NF-F12's will only improve cooling performance and won't do anything for system performance.

Really, you might as well have a sick theme if you have a side panel window. If looks and noise don't matter, I'm sure I can help you cut out quite a bit off the costs.

I like this build much better. I would suggest getting faster ram. Also, there is ram that matches that motherboard as well. For a video editing computer I would suggest a bit faster ram then 1600. Also that case is a really good case for what you are looking for. It give you much more space and capability to do things. I would change that Blue LED fan to something else cuz it might just look out of place.

And your bugdet is $4000, so why not LGA 2011? since you already siad it will be used to "make money".

He says he wouldn't need more than 16GB ram. If his work isn't heavy enough where 16GB is definitely not enough, faster ram or a 4930k would not make enough of a difference to be worth it.

Going 2011 isn't about whether or not you make money off what you're doing. It's worth it when what you make is dependent on how quickly you do your work.

Looks and noise are factors, but not enough to sped more. Please recommend cost cuts.

So are you dead set on sli? Also, are you set on a red/black theme or just a coherent one?

I don't know yet, I want to sli later on, but who knows.

I don't yet have a theme, as the gpu is black/silver, the mobo is gold/black, and the fans/case lights are blue. Just coherent is fine.

If you're not sure you'll sli later, you probably won't. Most people who say they want to end up never doing so.

How's Black/grey? http://pcpartpicker.com/p/22ovo

IT's less than $100 more overall. Is there any way to do the 2x of the monitors you first recommended for dvi as well as a pb238q for dp?

Can you recommend one?

I also need dvi to hdmi cables.

Can't you just use 2 dvi, 1 hdmi, and 1 display port cable without adapters?

Just pick whatever is cheap and has a few decent reviews.

That's a pretty incoherent looking theme there.

Also, you're just wasting your money for the 4 fans in push/pull.

The paste for the h100i is good as is. No need to get your own.

Such an expensive mobo...

If you want to pour money somewhere, get a quadro k4000.

Please make recommendations for how to make the theme better.

Are you sure, doesn't push/pull give like 10% better temps?

Okay, I will use the h100i paste.

Better cooling doesn't help when you hit the wall with your chip. Oc'ing is still a gamble and you can end up with one that only goes up to 4.2 ghz regardless of how good your cooling is.

Look back at my previous recommendation. Think about what the reasons were behind what you changed.

I will buy all four, but only use 2 for this rig and 2 in my server.

I needed more sata ports and I needed dual 16x PCIe for my other card

What else did I change?
