Hello all, I've to make a quick 3 minute animated video for a school project. I'm not that skilled video editing and don't have access to any pro level programmes. I already looked at DaVinci Resolve and it's not going to run on my laptop. I think my best bet is to go with some open source piece of software. Also, I'm thinking about making my video something similar to this (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kJyWVJs0kIY). I'd really appreciate, if you could give me some advice about how I go about making something like that too. Thank you! :-)

Hi all! I was wondering if anyone could help me with an idea... Basically I got a new Hybrid Cajon drum and I was going to make a song using all the samples I got from it. I like a Canadian YouTuber called Andrew Huang and he edits this type of video amazingly. I'm not new to making this style of beat with samples and such, where I'm lacking is in my editing skills (was thought Premiere Pro in college but it didn't teach me much as was only an extra module) but im very curious on how he synced up every sound with the video: He hardly just dragged and dropped eve

Hi all! I'm having trouble exporting my footage in Premiere Pro (in Media Encoder as well). All is swell when I first start rendering but it eventually stops about 10-30 seconds in. This isn't on a certain frame or a certain part of the project - it seems to happen at random. I've had something like this issue before but I've tried all of the things I did then to fix it to no avail. This is especially frustrating now because every time I tell Media Encoder or Premiere export to stop rendering it (since it never finishes), it will freeze the program and I have to force quit it. Hello everyone This might seem a bit strange, but this setup is the only feasible solution I could think of. So this setup is going to be in an RV (recreational vehicle), a 25ft motorhome. The nas and the laptop cannot be in the same place, due to lack of space, and also the layout of the particular motorhome. Also, the laptop needs to have access to the Nas from different positions inside the motorhome, so running cables isn't really an option, as that would spoil the aesthetics, and drilling holes on the roof or the floor isn't practical. The Nas is gonna be a cust

I have struggled to find an answer to my questions about Premiere Pro so I figured I'd come to a community that knows the ins and outs of all things tech. I have started to create and edit videos and have run into a few Premiere Pro performance hiccups that are leaving me confused. I don't have a beefy system by any means, but I'd expect it to perform a bit better than it is with Premiere. Windows 10 Ryzen 5 3600XT Processor GTX 1070 GPU NVMe 512GB Samsung SSD 32GB 3200Mhz RAM 850W 80+Gold PSU I have two main performance issues: Sometime

As the title suggests, is it possible for me to purely use my GPU for video rendering using Sony Vegas Pro 14 instead of my CPU? Reason: my CPU overheats and shuts down during rendering. Context: Tower position is okay, good air intake and PC is clean from dust etc. It's just my current CPU cooler is the stock AMD (wraith, i believe). CPU temps shoot up to 80-ish at the start of the render and shuts downs in less than 2 mins. Any help is greatly appreciated. Specs: CPU: Ryzen 7 1700 GPU: RTX 2080 RAM: 32gb ddr4

Budget (including currency): 3,000USD ($) Country: United States of America Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: This build will be used primarily for adobe suite products, more specifically Adobe After Effects. I'm looking for the best performance I can get. Adobe After Effects really benefits from single core performance, so I'd like to achieve the highest single core performance I can get for the price. I'm currently specing out a build on PC partpicker, but it's been a while since I've built me last PC. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Hey lovely people of the community! I am planning to build a new Ryzen PC and I could really do with some advice from a bit more tech savvy guys out here. Before getting into the configurations and my usage, I would like to point out that I am an absolute noob when it comes to the technical details. I for sure know what frequency and clock speed etc is, but I have absolutely zero idea what things like L3 cache, latencies, CCX modules etc mean. Also I donot understand how those fancy bars and benchmarks exactly function, so I request you guys to please give me suggestions bearing in mind t

laptop LAPTOP recommendation for color grading
SunilRekt posted a topic in Laptops and Pre-Built Systems
I'm in need of recommendations for a laptop with good color accuracy, hardware and good brightness (400-500 nits). I do mainly photography & videography so color grading and color accuracy are KEY .I've been eyeing the Razer Blade 15 4K Oled and the Dell XPS 17". I'm not much of an apple guy although they make lovely displays on their macbook pros, but they've soldered on literally everything, meaning no upgradability for ram or storage; ridiculous. Please help!- 1 reply

Good day everyone, I am seeking your advise on picking the right laptop for me. I will have the main specs mentioned below. Laptop A: Ryzen 7 4800H + GTX 1650 Ti Laptop B: Intel i7-10750H + RTX 2060 everything else is pretty much the same My workflow focuses on mainly Sony Vegas, Lightroom and some occasional weekend gaming (Dota 2, minecraft, looking to expand into some mmorpgs). I may also switch to Adobe Premier and Photoshop in the future. Both laptops are very competitively priced lower than the big name brands and are similar in pricing for me locally (f

Ok, so I have this dell laptop wich is pretty good at gaming, however I dont have a smooth experience when I edit 1080p videos using lots of effects, filters and 3d animation. Maybe if I upgrade RAM the video timeline gets smoother, or should I try another thing? What do you suggest? (yes I know ryzen is better for video editing or that I should get a beast pc but I only have this laptop to work on) Laptop specs: i5-9300h GTX 1650 2 x 4GB Ram 2666mhz (want to upgrade it) 1TB HDD 128GB SSD Thank you.

We are working with a small jewelry business that uses lost wax casting to produce custom precious metal pieces. There is not currently an online presence, but we are expanding into CAD design and will 3D print our molds. Part of this project will be to document different processes as well as produce educational and instructional video content for a website (under development). This will require setting up a proper small business network that supports shared video editing/rendering and is secure enough to develop and grow an eCommerce solution. I have a background in Project Management

Looking for recommendations of high spec laptops that can chew through 4K footage in premiere. The Razer Blade 15 Base Edition is something I've been looking at. I would love to build a PC but have to be on the move so need a laptop that can handle this. All recommendations appreciated, but looking for something that is fairly portable and not crazy beefy. Coming from a Dell XPS 15 2015 so that size and weight are preferred. Budget preferable under $4K AUD Thanks in advance.

Hi guys, I have this rather old acer laptop with an Core i3 350m 2 core and 4 threads in it and 3GB of RAM. And I realized I can't run Davinci Resolve with it since it require high end specs. I was wondering if there's any preferably free video editing software with little to no limitation similar to resolve that could run on my laptop. Thanks in advance

Looking for RAM recommendations (and where to potentially purchase) for a VR Gaming / Video Editing PC build... Ryzen 3900, nVidia 3080, M.2 NVME PCIe 4 SSDs. I'm trying to find four sticks of 16 GB for a total of 64 GB. Couldn't care a lick about RGB. I can find 3600 MHz RAM at CL 18, or 3200 MHz RAM at CL 16, but not having much luck at 3600 MHz CL 16 or under. Any recommendations from the experts (or alternate memory specs I should be searching for)? This will go into a Lian-Li O11 Dynamic XL case with (most likely) a Gigabyte X570 Aorus Master motherboard with an AIO cooler.

video editing 8k and higher VR video editing rig
axlvrtours posted a topic in New Builds and Planning
$5000 budget. Can go over budget. In USA. Need to edit 8k to 11k 360 VR video in Davinci Resolve. Not a heavy gamer... so workstation over gaming. Been researching this for 6 months. Project getting funded in December 2019. I've been using pcpartpicker.com to configure different rigs within my budget. AMD 3600 x570 motherboard Or Threadripper (under $500) x399 motherboard Will Not be using watercooling. So the 180 TDP of the TR scares me. The 3600 is 65 TDP. I like my quiet builds.
