Idk its sort of weird. Like i want them to have more class than the majority of shit tubers, however youtube community as a whole has come to expect that type of shit and it actually does work. If he's the only boring thumbnail on a page, theyll get glossed over. I don't think its something they're super fond of doing, but not being competitive simply isn't an option in this style of market place

Meh. Watch Time matters. You could have a 2 million view video which lasts 1 minute or a 300,000 view video which is 10 minutes.

 

The latter video would be more promoted by the algorithm and it would net LMG more money.

I feel like it is a Cherry MX clone keyboard with gold coloured key switches and caps. Or it could be real gold, but the keys look quite tacky and like plastic.

If that comment was legit, I find it hard to believe that they would equate better views with the thumbnail, without considering the title and/or the actual content of the video. Maybe I'm in the minority, but the thumbnail has no effect on whether I watch a video or not; the title has much more of a draw or turnoff effect.
