My 670 poweredition crashes a lot at high coreand memory speeds but it does feel like its from a lackofpower rather than the card reaching its limits because at slightly lower clocks it seems to be rock solid. I think i might have a go at flashing the bios, but its only got one unlike some other cards so if i get it wrong its bricked.

I flashed my 670 FTW and it bricked the card. Be careful!

yes i think i might try modding afterburner first because it is an msi card and i swear there was a tool i can use to raise power and voltage limits. its just a case of finding it.  :)

You have to go into the text files and put something in there that you agree it can kill your card or something. I tried doing it but did not work for me.

i'll give it a go when i send my 7970 off for rma. it would be annoying if i unlock a massive amount of oc headroom on the 670 and its ends up being just as fast as the 7970.

i like to have both so that i have all the features :P i also have 2 rigs that need good gpu's. i woould buy something like a 290 dcu ii or 780 classy, but i think it'll wait for 20nm for my next upgrade.

Would you inform me if it worked?

I tried the voltage mod and added 150mV but it didn't increase the stability

Man, I wish i could get in the top 5, but I had to settle for top 20 lol. Maybe when I upgrade my GPUs or in my next build I'll go crazy.

I think I can get 3rd right now, but I'm not comfortable pushing my 3930k to 5ghz with just an h100i

Makes sense. That's what I'm using to cool my cpu, I don't really want to overclock higher for the same reason.

Also, I updated my scores in my original post. Yay improvement!

do benchmarkers like linus and tek syndicate loose FPS because they are recording the gameplay?

If they use a program like FRAPs then performance loss can be pretty significant, however Nvidia shadowplay is the alternative that doesnt not hinder fps as much (about 10%)

They will probably use a capture card so that it doesn't effect the results.

I don't know what the speeds in the top right are, 1400MHz is way above what I can get right now, until I get watercooling. I set GPUTweak to 1150 Core / 7350 Mem.
