Pentium 4, 256 Mb RAM, 80 Gb HDD, Cd Burner and some Nvidia Graphics card (can't remember which).

Just enough for Age of empires/Mythology, and some psx emulators.

Don't get mad, get even...

Oh, wow. This is a very good topic indeed. My first PC ever, not counting the C64 was a DOS machine I think. It was lying on it's side and it used floppy discs. But back than I didn't know or cared about the specs. It might not have been dos based but maybe win95, but I don't think it was win98. Later I got my brother's PC which could run Desperados! I remember bragging to my schoolmates about it. :D

But my first REAL gaming PC that I personally built was about 7 years ago in the summer. I got a 64 bit Phenom that was clocked at 2.1Ghz (haha, what a joke!), it was dual core of course. It had a Gforce 7600 I think (about 1-2 years later when FarCry 2 came out I got a 9600GT). I can't remember how much RAM I had, but I think it was 2 Gigs.

Dude, i had a ibm back when it was beast.

"The Aptiva E85 is priced at $1,099(a) with an AMD K6-2/300 MHz(1) processor, 64MB of RAM (expandable to 256MB)(6) and a 6.0 GB(7) hard drive."

"To further enhance the home PC computing experience, IBM recently introduced a new IBM flat panel monitor that requires approximately 60% less desk space than traditional monitors. This 14.1 inch (viewable size) monitor, which is optimized for viewing at 1024x768 resolution, delivers crisp, flicker-free images that are viewable from wide angles."

It was not really "flat". ^

"IBM continues to deliver the latest technology to consumers by extending its offer of a special upgrade to Windows 98 on select Aptiva models through August 31, 1998. IBM Aptiva customers will enjoy the peace of mind in knowing they can take full advantage of the benefits Windows 98 offers, at no additional cost."

First OS i used was windows 98, taught me how to troubleshoot the bsod.

It was in a torn down TT case, with a Core 2 duo, 6 gbs of 1333 Mhz DDR2 RAM, a 5770, and some Asus MoBo, I don't remember. I bought most of the parts off my friends so it came out to be like $350 it was a steal at the time and it was what got me into PC gaming/building. I still have the Mobo, CPU, HDD, and optical drive from it too.

OH gawd my 1st pc was a dell dimension Celeron d (not a dual core lol just double the cache I guess) 2.13ghz and 256mb of ram a 80 gig hdd and integrated graphics (I think it was like 2000) running windows xp on a crt monitor. I used this from 2005-2011 with no upgrades and not a single os install. I was very stuipid

but I did game on this since I didn't get a ps2 till 2009 I had 2 games that came with it which was quake III arena and flight simulator 2002. When facebook came around I gamed mainly using flash which ran like crap with my 256k modem but I was happy for then.
