Spawn way too many exploding chickens in Skyrim and kill one. By the time the PC catches up you'll be a mile in the air.

Guild Wars 2 does the job for CPU bound computation for me.

If the entire map takes part in the event, the Unbounded Guardian in Bloodstone Fen lets my machine (i7-2600K @ 4.4GHz, GTX 980) drop to 5 fps.

That's just not that easy and very time consuming to test.

StarCraft 2's engine is notorious for killing the most powerful cores in existence. Try some of it's particle effects.

Max out your settings and view distance in Arma 3, then use the editor to spawn in tons of troops and stuff around the island. Then try to fly around in a jet with all of that being drawn at once.

Haven't tried it myself, but Besiege constructions with hundreds (or thousands?) of pieces should do the trick. Physics and all.
