Well.... unlike most people in this thread I actually play the game lol.

 

1. The Dx12 patch is currently an OPT-in and in BETA full patch notes here: http://forums.eu.square-enix.com/showthread.php?t=191508

2. Running an i5 4670k at 4ghz paired with a GTX 1070 I get a performance INCREASE.

It seems to remove some CPU bottlenecking and whilst my maximum framerate isn't much higher my minimum framerate is.

I'm getting a much smoother experience running DX12.

Keep in mind the DX12 implementation is still early.

There are more games than ROTTR, like this:

But ROTTR isn't actually DX12, it's something of a DX11.2 which is DX11 with some of DX12 features, that's pretty much a transferred game from Xbox One.

the 1060 is a card that retails for almost 50% more in some cases.

But i still dont understand why Gforce cards loose performance, they should at least have the same performance of dx11, unless async or something else in hardware lvl that dont play well with dx 12. 

Probably because dx12 optimizations supercede whatever nvidia drivers do.

Imagine it optimize a lot a things but forces the card to render frame by frame and not a tiled based rendering,  that theoretically could explain it.

Nvidia always has made cards inferior on hardware level and has compensated at software level anyway. When look at raw performance, a fury X is capable of almost the same amount of TFLOPS than a 1080, just like in those benchmarks... interesting isn't it?

I can't actually, and I want one.

AMD's tech is extremely hard to predict, especially with all their hype trains.
I personally hope it's ahead of Pascal, otherwise Volta is going to make it the new "480" next year.

Yes they did...it's an AMD game.

Also, it's bullshit...Joker tested it with the latest AMD driver and the radeon card lost nearly 10 FPS by going with DX12 and so does the nvidia card, here:

I actually suspected as much: Looks like the DX12 delay was not enough of a delay. Hopefully they delay the delay but without flatout sinking into Valve time.

it was bolted on to that game and it runs like crap...you can search on forums and see other outlets they all report the same this morning: the game run like garbage on DX12 BOTH on AMD and nvidia hardware...there is NO DX12 ''magic boost'' for that game...run like garbage on Dx12.

Yeah just noticeable stinkier shit on Nvidia but no "magic bullet" that shows anything beyond what we already know the advantage of AMD on DX12 is so far.

AMD loose less performance by going to DX12...way to go. lol

check the video i posted a couple posts above...it's not even true...BOTH amd and nvidia are LOOSING performance in DX12 with that game...it's crap.

I don't think this game is in shape to be benchmarked on DX12 yet as denoted by the DX12 preview beta. That's why people are getting wildly different results and others (myself included) are simply greeted with a crash when launching in DX12 mode.

I can load in and play, but I lose 10fps in DX12 compared to DX11.

Square Enix really need to get their grubby fingers out of the developers' work. They forced them to shove in DLC stores and crap a week before the game launch; all that time wasted that could have been used to improve performance and DX12 development.

Now we get a DX12 "beta", that actually regresses performance.

Listening to that guy gives me cancer but 1 person's benchmark experience doesnt mean it's like that across the board.
