Can't Trust iPhone 4?

I have this old iPhone 4 that stays on the Apple Logo and never boots. I'm trying to reset the phone using my Windows computer, but I have an issue. Apple Devices asks me to trust the phone, and tap trust on the phone. But I can't since the phone never boots. Anything I can do?

Thanks to you, I was able to recover the iPhone! But now I have another issue. After some point in the setup, it asks to connect the phone back. Then, Apple Devices tries to "Activate" the phone. But...fails. What now?

Connect the phone to WiFi and let it activate.

How do I connect to WiFi? It doesn't get to that part before it asks me to Activate.

Don't know since you don't clearly describe the process and where it hangs.

You typically should have other options, e.g. by double/triple-tapping the home button. But what's the error when connecting the the PC?

old phone problems - you need to put in a SIM, from the same brand the phone was locked to.

Oh…oh I threw that out ages ago.
