I don't think you understand economics. If the USD plummeted it would have a much greater effect on other countries. Also it isn't the US's fault for your country having VAT or a bad dollar value.

Also every time the US economy tanks (and thus the dollar gets weaker), everyone else suffers because of how much they've invested in the US. Which means you also have a higher probability of running into money issues.

Won't work that way, what you need is a strong viable competition that scores the hardware performance  twice as more & the company decides to sell it for less than half than that of the current flagship competitors , then they'll drop down overblown prices

While technically I'd agree, the real world is more complex. There is such a thing as "sticky prices" - The rise of the dollar in 2014 illustrates this clearly. Dollar prices for hardware didn't change much, even tough they should've dropped as the dollar got stronger, but prices in all other currencies rose because of the exchange rate.

 

So if the dollar were to drop hardware prices could go down in other currencies just as well as their dollar price doesn't change (much).

 

(Obviously I'm talking about normal currency fluctuations, not a crash or hyperinflation, then all bets are off)

It's all subjective off course. The dollar index came from the low 80's all the way up to almost 100. If it were to go down to 80 again fast I'm sure everyone would call it a "crash" but it'd just be were it was a mere 2 yrs ago.

 

If it were to really tank everything depends on the actions of your own central bank. If they're dumb Keynesian's  and devalue your own currency to match the dollar to stay competitive then stuff will get more expensive for you aswell. If they however let the dollar drop against your own currency then stuff might actually get cheaper for you as the dollar drops faster against your currency then dollar prices rise.

Inflation = currency loses value = prices go up

Deflation = currency gains value = prices go down
