I've got a 2001 Saturn L100 bought at scrap value from someone who couldn't pay the ~$1200 to repair it. Probably be like a scrap yard computer which some kid cleaned up and gave to their grandparents with a beige case. P4 era.

Hahaha you think a Civic (Even a Civic EX) is comparable to a GTX 970? That's a good one!

 

A Civic is more like a 750 Ti - it has a loud snarl, it's alright, but in the end, it's pretty low performance compared to true high end products.

 

Your GTX 970 is more like a Corvette - really powerful, looks sleek, but some flaws you didn't notice right away.

A 1999 A class Mercedes. (It's technically my parents, but really, I'm almost the only one who drives it. Parents share a company car, since dad works from home)...

 

I'd guess I'll compare it to an old Thinkpad workhorse. Beaten, used and slow, yet still working and chugging along.

 

Front tires deflate from time to time though, so I guess the Thinkpad's left-and right click buttons fall off sometimes, ha ha ha.

I've got a telsa model s P85.

 

It's virtually silent unless it gets hot, then the fans kick in and it's slightly noisy (4790k cooled by an h80i). It's pretty quick but getting outdated and doesn't have dual motors. Plus the one motor its got isn't the performance model (reference to P85+ ad my gtx 760 w/ 4gb of gddr4). Looks nice, but not amazing (corsair 400d). Overall its a comfortable machine that gets me from a to b and has a fair level of performance.

whoops, read the question backwards... I interpreted the question as if your computer were a car what would it be...

 

My car is an '04 Toyota Sequoia. I'd compare it to a old early 2000's Gateway desktop with a CRT monitor. It wasn't necessarily super slow for it's time, but it's still pretty slow. Even when it revs its engine it still kinda slow but gets pretty loud.

The Sequoia I have is actually pretty comfortable and extremely reliable. Seriously, the only thing that's ever needed replacing (besides regular maintenance items and oil changes) is the rear bumper (someone hit it in a parking lot and ran) and the rack and pinion steering mechanism (okay, that'll be expensive, but just topping off the reservoir with power steering fluid once or twice a year is significantly cheaper than purchasing a new steering unit). It currently has almost 170k miles. I know it has required little repairs even though I got the car used because my dad bought it new in '03 and gave it to me when I got my driver's license. He kept all the maintenance bills. My model is rear wheel drive (snow + RWD = ) and has the 4.7L I-force v8. If you drive like grandma and keep a steady pace at 45 mph (no accelerating braking or turning at all) it will actually get 28 mpg (almost running out of gas in the middle of nowhere after not seeing a gas station for 80 miles makes for desperate measures... there was a 125 mile gap without gas stations). You will most likely not drive like grandma and get a city average of 14.5 to 15ish mpg and a highway mileage at 75 mph of about 16 to 16.5 mpg. The JBL audio speakers where like pokemon and were pretty bad at first, but evolved into something brilliant. Seriously I have not touched the speakers, but somehow they got better with age and actually sound pretty damn good now (nice bass, clear dialog, and great mid range audio!.. my roommate and several friends are witnesses to this phenomenon). As I mentioned it is kinda slow. It's not awful, but 0-60 mph in about ~9 seconds. The v8 sounds very good when it roars. It has a 4 speed automatic and rarely has to shift down unless it is climbing an incline greater than 6 percent for about half a mile at 65 mph. It has a respectable amount of torque and doesn't need to down shift when accelerating on the interstate to pass people. It has a bunch of cargo space (I can move my entire dorm room cross-country in one go) and can handle itself off-road (as long as there is traction). The brakes have a very mushy feel to them, but I've gotten used to it after 5 years (don't know whether or not that's specific to my model or if they all feel that way). The driver seat has electronic seat and mirror adjustments and cover everything you really need (lumbar, seat height, angle of bench on driver seat, angle of backrest on driver seat, and horizontal position relative to the dashboard). There is a ton of forward visibility (unless you are on a sharp turn with the A-pillars in the way of the road) but the blind spots are not the best (can be almost totally corrected for by properly adjusting the side mirrors). Rear visibility (minus blind spots) is pretty good. The windows are electronic and the rear window (on the trunk) can also open and close with controls on the dashboard. The top speed is 104 mph and can reach 105 mph if you are flooring it on a downhill (I'm DEFINITELY not speaking from experience or anything like that because that would just be dangerous, immature, and stupid... amiright?).

Probably a Westmere (1st gen)  i3 would be a good comparison.  Older and not very powerful, but still quite zippy for getting around.

A VW Polo 6N2 1,0L from 2000 with over 275k kilometers, a little bit rusty a bit scratched but fiarly well working and cheap....

 

... so an old portable notebook with a small almost evertime full SSD in it ... It can load websides but don't try more than a small word document it because it might burst.
