NVIDIA Titan XP Reviews and Benchmarks

HKZeroFive

Reviews are starting to surface for NVIDIA's newest and most powerful graphics card. Coming in at a price tag of $1200, it certainly does seem to be coming in line with the Titan moniker. I'll be updating the OP with reviews and benchmarks as they get released. I'm expecting a smaller number of reviews than the GTX 1080 this time round but let's see.

Judging by what you've posted so far.... It just doesn't look worth it to me. It's generally only 20% or so faster than the amp 1080, so if you get two of them in sli it'll cost 1300-1400 dollars but you'll also be getting much higher performance in most games. Not to mention that in games that don't scale horribly in sli, GTX 1070 sli, which costs around 800 dollars, will probably come extremely close in performance.

It's still my opinion that the Titan XP is a stupid card unless you're using Int 8... Anyone who wants that kind of performance should just wait for the 1080 ti.

20% faster than a 1080 for a 80% increase in price, still not fully capable of 4K ultra @60fps... Still a scam from Nvidia, I love those Titan cards more and more every year :D

I've said it time and time again but 30-35% was the gap between the stock 980 and titan x, this is just like then, the titan xp is 30ish % better than a stock 1080, just as before only idiots and ballers should buy this card for gaming

@Slick would love to see some 3D render benchmarks if you guys get the time when doing your review.
(ie Cycles, Octane, Vray etc etc)

We can still hope for the long-awaited AMD return in the high-end GPU market. This might calm Nvidia's titties.

Very soon, graphics card will be 80% of the entire PC build budget. Everyone is rocking a $1,000+ GPU with a $80 CPU and a $50 PSU in a $1,200 build. xD

Nooooo, the cooler of the Founder's Edition is made of "premium" material. It will be $1,600 at least. xD

With a water block this could get way faster than a 1080. If you can get the core over 2000mhz it'll smoke em.

Then the GPU will become the PC, it will have a $20 SOC.

There is one in the Graphics Card forum saying why the price of the Titan XP is justified. :P

We don't even know if Nvidia sent ltt a Titan X... Afterall, like the Titan z Nvidia is marketing this more as a workstation card not as a gaming card, which is why there are barely an reviews on the web so far.

The price makes this card "meh" but it is a nice preview of what the 1080ti will bring to the table and even more intriguing, what Vega will have to deliver from AMD.

I personally think Vega will bring only 1080 numbers in DX11 but surpass by a thin margin in DX12 async compute heavy games and it will probably be water cooled too.

I'd certainly be an interesting contest.

EDIT: on a more personal preference note: damn that FE cooler in black looks sooo much better. I wonder if I can eventually find a D.O.A. Titan to swap the cooler from my 1070 FE.

We can only hope that Vega brings some stiff competition, otherwise the 1080 will sit at it's current price and the Ti will be ~$900 US

I actually suspect that there won't be a 1080 Ti this time
