Main post updated to reflect the release of Windows 10 Anniversary Update.

Fun facts:

Based on July 2016 Steam stats:
 - ~47% of Steam users run Windows 10

 - ~36% of Steam users run Windows 7

 - They are still 1.69% of users running Windows XP

I'll be testing to see if my domain controller can still disable those gpo settings with this .10 update.

I used the media creation tool to try to force update, but it is still just last November's update version of Windows 10, version 1511. Am I missing something?

@GoodBytes They didn't fix the BSOD bug I had :(. Oh no this is gonna be real bad. I had nasty issues on 14393.5.

Tried an altar of cheeseburgers, in a perfect pentacle dedicated to the Lord Gaben? joking aside, the BSOD issue died for around that build, I hope it does not return.

Oh interesting.... Maybe, there is a delay in syncing servers with the latest ISO?!

MS have stated they'll update the MCT to the latest version so anyone who wants to force the update can do so.

I've also just finished an MCT Upgrade, still on 1511?

I'm going to try again. According to this site: http://www.thewindowsclub.com/get-download-windows-10-anniversary-update

If the media creation tool has the number 14393 then it will download the anniversary update.

Edit: Got the media creation tool I used a little bit ago out of the recycle bin and its number was different, so I think the media creation tool is valid now. Try again!

Quote

260 character limit gone
You can now remove the 260 character limit for NTFS file system paths. To do this, look for Enable NTFS long paths under your GPOs (Windows 10 Pro and up). I don’t know the registry key for Windows 10 Home users.

GOD DAMN IT, FINALLY.

Mystery is the source of all true science.

That happend to me twice as well, than I re-downloaded again for the 3th time and it worked.
You may have to run it a few times. try again in 10 minutes or wait a while till it creates a desktop shortcut to start the update.
