Chelsea Manning may face solitary confinement for the rest of her prison time

Chelsea Manning is probably familiar to most people on this forum for releasing classified military documents of the military firing on civilians and the press with Apache helicopters and other similar document and was arrested for it. Lately she has been struggling with depression and recently tried to kill herself. So they brought in a therapist and tried to help her right? Well of course not they said they are considering putting her in solitary confinement for the rest of her prison time and extend her time by 9 years. Solitary confinement is when you are shut in a small room sometimes without light, a solid door with no windows and with no contact with any people and you get fed periodically through a small slot and they want to do this to her for the rest of her jail time + 9 more years. This is what they do to you went you reveal embarrassing information about the government and hold them accountable for doing illegal acts. 

 

"The government has long been aware of Chelsea’s distress associated with the denial of medical care related to her gender transition, and yet delayed and denied the treatment recognized as necessary.

“Now, while Chelsea is suffering the darkest depression she has experienced since her arrest, the government is taking actions to punish her for that pain. It is unconscionable, and we hope that the investigation is immediately ended and that she is given the health care that she needs to recover,” Strangio continued."

If you have any notions that the US stands for justice and democracy and freedom this should end those delusions. This is what we call American justice.

And yet Shillary Clinton walks free after blatantly and purposefully violating the laws regarding the handling of classified documents.

Someone go ahead and argue with me why she isn't in jail. I was lucky in that I was home sick, and got to watch the ENTIRE senate oversight committee hearing on why the FBI didn't recommend charges (the TL;DR is that "because it's Shillary").

 

I feel bad for Manning. He/she gets this.....what amounts to torture (perhaps the worst, most heinous form of torture possible), for exposing things our government shouldn't be doing, and yet someone else does roughly the same thing, and is running for president.

Trey Gowdy is a badass. He doesn't take bullshit. They know she broke the law, they even have "false exculpatory statements" that pretty much prove she knew she was breaking the law, and was guilty.

Of course we can't put her in prison didn't you get the memo that shes rich. Bankers crash our economy? Of course we can't jail them they are rich instead we need to give them money to bail them out. 

 

Reveal that the government is killing journalists and civilians and have the nerve to try to kill yourself? off to jail in indefinite solitary confinement for you. Crash the US and global economy? Here have some money

This is why it's good to educate yourself before blabbing about things you don't understand. Clinton left a surplus budget. it is impossible to leave a surplus debt (this phrase doesn't even make sense) and it's impossible to get rid of debt. The amount of debt any president accumulates is irrelevant. What matters is whether they leave a surplus or deficit budget. Simpletons dont know this though so republicans try to scare them with "giant, scary numbers".

you can disagree with him and frankly I disagree with his assessment that obama contributed a lot of debt but no name calling please

This is bad but not for the reason op makes it out to be. Locking people up in an even worse spot when they have mental issues or are threatened by inmates is common. Not just because she happened to leak the files

We could get rid of that debt, by having a surplus for many, many MANY decades/centuries lol

It's probably more accurate to blame congress. But the statement "the debt has grown while obama has been in office, more than it did under all previous presidents combined" is still true. While not necessarily his fault, I would assume the president has to sign off on the budgets and spending that congress set forth.

 

Could be wrong though. Not sure how the budgeting system works other than baseline spending (whatever you spend this year, is your budget for next year. Which is asinine and the reason we have almot $20,000,000,000,000 in debt.)

It's probably more accurate to blame congress. But the statement "the debt has grown while obama has been in office, more than it did under all previous presidents combined" is still true. Also Obama inherited a lot of bush policies and when you break down the costs the bush policies cost much more than Obama's policies. Also when bush cane in America had a booming economy and when Obama came in our economy was in the dumps
