That is a CX v3, you can tell since it is 80plus Bronze Certification, CX v2 where all 80plus White and CX v1 where not certified.

I have a CX 500 now (appears to be Tier 5). Still debating whether to keep it or return it to the store and use my Delta PSU (not much inof but it's a Delta 500AB-6A)

Not really, $65 AUD is $50 USD and also remember Australian prices include tax where as US prices do not. So the CX 430 is $59 AUD without tax or $45 USD which is about right with the US prices.

What are your other specs?  That matters too :P

Based on what's in your profile I'd say that's just fine actually.

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

I more than likely wouldn't worry about it. But what are your specs?

Hmmmmm...popping sound with a EVGA GQ PSU...time to remove it from tier 2? :P

Jokes aside, maybe @Energycore or @STRMfrmXMN or @Starelementpoke has ideas on how you can properly diagnose it's a blown PSU without using another PSU?

Looking at my signature are we now? Well too bad there's nothing here...

I'm selling a power supply which isn't too bad.

Judge a product on its own merits AND the company that made it.

Look at my signature.

If you're not OK with that PSU then something like an RMx would be fine (I'd much rather you bought mine though tbh).

Here's a review of corsair cx550m.

Wow, geezus that's a lot worse than I was expecting...

I hope to see other reviews where it does better as this PSU seems like it could possibly have been an outlier, but those capacitors are suspect.

2 protectors not working properly? That is could be fatal...for the PSU anyway :/

It is possible that they got a lemon as THW's review of the CX650M and HWI's review of the CX450M (not as detailed as the reviews we're accustomed to however) are both rather positive...

That unit on Tom's hardware was different from others because it had capacitor(s) with higher capacitance.

Yah, that's obviously expected because it's a 650watt PSU...

I think the issue here is how the 550watt uses the same cap as the 450watt from my memory which may be part of the HUT issue :P
