No, the safety measures are the built in protections in the PSU. And the warranty is a thing, you know.

No PSU will reliably last for 15 years, no matter the usage.

Masterwatt maker MIJ probably would ?

Are you kidding? We need EVGA to have 6 or 7 different lines that all cover the midrange 80+ Gold market segment, or the market will crash.

6 or 7 is deffo not enough. You obviously need more gold rated PSU lines from EVGA.

Let's see

GD, GQ, GS, G1, G2, G3, G2L, NEX-G1, 1500W NEX Classified, and G+ now. They did it! They reached 10 lines to keep the market stable.

If you count the Platinum lines, those are the PS, P2 and now the PQ. So there's not that many but

Edit: lol I submitted the post unfinished. I think I'll leave it like that

What's "burnt out" on them? They're based on a platform used in lots of other PSUs. Perhaps the RGB fan produces heat like crazy or something weird like that?

Also, how many have you really seen in a month of the 1250W version of that PSU...?

With the current mining craze currently we ordered about 500 of that model between December and January. Also by burnt out I mean they actually caught fire and burnt out. Mind with the current mining craze one can only wonder if they are actually using quality components on any high wattage PSU since they are selling so fast.

Remember that a good platform means nothing if it's missing the correct protections (looking at you, EVGA B3). If these are being run at 100%, 24/7, on an environment without much airflow and somehow have non-functional OTP, then they will burn out.

As for whether they do or don't have OTP, I'm not sure without looking at reviews and even then the retail models might be different to reviewer samples.

Out of these two, which one is the 'best'? (Open for suggestions, need something ~$130 CAD (Amazon/Newegg/Canada Computers), 650W, 6 SATA power connectors minimum, a smaller form factor but still able to be mounted in a ATX case is nice)

I know I can't go wrong with any of these choices, I'm pretty sure, but like, slightly better ripple or something.

I've ordered these with my 20% Asus voucher for my EVGA T2:

ohahLm2.jpg

I got the modflex ones to make them easier to shove into my mini ITX build, and white / black because I'll be building into either my black or upcoming white Thermaltake Core V1 from now on, and my current mobo is white / silver with a white GPU with black PCBs.

So recently I managed to uninstall and rebox my EVGA T2 and all its wires out of my old case.

I seriously cannot understand how all those wires originally fit in the box. Now half of them won't even fit after being used.

My custom cables already got made and dispatched today, but my white case is still out of stock boo. Still using my XFX in the meantime.

Also I tried making sure the EVGA one fits this case, so I opened up my black case and held it against it. Its clearly the exact same size as the XFX already installed, but I had serious difficulty figuring out how I would get it in, and how on earth I even managed to install the current one.

So I just had to google that cos I still couldn't figure it out ....

The bottom comes off. Hurrrrr durrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!

Linus is my fetish.
