Reply to the email as in a "here is a picture of the bent pins" and then add said image an an attachment in the email and send it.

Pins can be bent back into place, and since you don't open any seals, it is perfectly fine.

 

Even with RMAs you can still have them replace the part that is out of warranty for the charge of the part assuming they actually have a replacement.

Take the best picture you can of the bent pins and email it to them.

I don't try bending the pins yourself unless they refuse to repair/replace the motherboard. Not worth potentially damaging the CPU when they appear to be willing to warranty fix or replace the motherboard. I've bent motherboard and AMD CPU pins straight myself without issue before so I know it is reasonable doable, but I know not everyone can replace $300-500 in parts if they are slightly out of alignment or worse, bend the pins too many times and break one.

As long as they appear to be willing to follow through with the warranty, I'd hold off on fixing it yourself unless you really can't afford a few weeks without it.

Take a picture of the pins in the socket, preferably with good lighting and in multiple angles. After that you just reply to the email and attach all these pictures.

 

EDIT: the pins are located where you would place the CPU

I am not sure. I did it with an old motherboard a few years back. I would think that they wouldn't be able to tell m the difference if you screw up.
