Most people who own expensive hardware are gamers

I'd say at least 90% of the community play games, and about 75% of the community are gamers.  I fall in that 15% that plays games but really doesn't consider myself a gamer anymore.

I would say about 70% or less. I have a nice PC but I rarely play games on it. I used to play minecraft for 8+ hours a night for 6 years. Then when I built my PC the want to play all these games you couldn't sorta went away. Don't get me wrong I love playing games. I just find myself coding, video editing, watching a TV show or Youtube video a lot more often then gaming.

I would assume the majority here is, to some degree, a gamer. Whether that be "I sometimes play a new game that comes out" to "I play CSGO/DOTA/LOL 25 hours a day" or anything inbetween.

 

I play whenever I kinda feel like it, which is an hour or so per day on average (so sometimes I don't play and sometimes I play a couple hours). Sometimes on my PC, but very often on one of my consoles too.

But nowadays I play less than I used to because other hobbies

About 80% is my guesstimate. I have a lower-end PC, and use it almost exclusively for gaming. I find watching videos much less interesting than I used to, and reserve that for times when I've no access to a PC (eg. on the bus).

I only play like two games on PC. I play way more on my PS4 but that's because I have a low end laptop. For the two games I play though it does just fine.

LTT in general seems to be marketed at the PC gaming community in general (IMO) personally I rarely use my computer or build computers for gaming in general but I'm one of the boring weird people on this forum :P I'm here for the hardware and seeing what people create.

I am not a gamer but I do play games. I'd probably be fine with an Athlon x4 and a R7 260 but I am a hardware enthusiast, I'd buy a top tier GPU and CPU every generation if I could afford it, instead I have a HD 7950 Rebrand.
