Crucial announced their MX300 SSD

Micron will be releasing a Crucial MX300 SSD series that  will make use of 3D Nand (vertical stacked NAND), it is TLC written. The product will become available in 275GB up-to 2 TB volume sizes.

Crucial has revealed their upcoming consumer line SSD the MX300, giving a very brief specs at their event when they're showing off some of their enterprise products.

The MX300 will feature up to 384Gbit 3D nand cells stacked up in 32 layers. The 2.5" model will come in a capacity ranging from 275GB to 2TB. M.2 models will at 750GB to 1.05TB. And their 9100 series NVMe base, coming in at 800GB to 3.2TB. Performance of the MX300 will get around 530MB/s read and 510MB/s writes with IOPS of 83,000 and 92,000. Their NVMe will have around 3GB/s reads and 2GB/s writes IOPS of 750,000K in random 4K read and 160,000 IOPS on writes. Availability of their upcoming SSD should be around July. We should get more info on them when they fully reveal it in during Computex, in June.

I don't think that this is meant to compete with the 950Pro, but with the 850Evo. That they also bring us a NVMe M.2 drive with such a high amount of IOPS is probably more like a nice side effect.

I really hope this marks the beginning of "budget" nvme drives. I know it's a fairly new technology , but it would be nice to see nvme drives that don't cost twice as much as regular sata drives.

750GB for just 200 euro sounds too good to be true, but would be really nice if it was. I'd buy one for sure.

I really like there SSD's I have one myself and one for my mom. They both perform wonderfully in my desktop or in my mom mac book from 2009

1+ TB M.2 SSDs?  I like it. 

I'd buy one to go SSD-only, if only I had enough money. Don't care about SATA or NVMe in this case though
