$20 Graphics card?

BiscuitMassacre

I have this old PC:

AMD x2 6050e

3GB DDR2

Nvidia 6150se

And I was thinking about putting some movies on it. I decided that I would probably need a better GPU. I would atleast like to play minecraft or Garry's mod. So what GPU to get for 20-30 USD? No I do not want a 750 TI or something. 20-30 is what I want.

My System:

Intel Core i5-4690k  / Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo Asus Z97-AR MSI Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 100me Corsair Vengeance LP 1600Mhz 2x4GB DDR3 Samsung 850 EVO 250GB / Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM HDD / NZXT S340 EVGA SuperNOVA G1 650W / Windows 10 Home 64 / AOC G2460PQU 1080p 144hz / Corsair VOID Wireless RGB Razer Taipan Laser Razer Blackwidow Ultimate 2014

My Laptop (Asus X55C-DS31):

Intel Core i3-2370M @ 2.4Ghz 6GB RAM / OCZ ARC100 240GB SSD /

My Phone:

OnePlus Three Graphite Black / 64GB

My Watch:

Moto 360 1st Generation

The HD 6450 and it's friend GeForce 210 are in the middle: kinda old, yet kinda good.

The R5 230 and it's friend GT 610 are one, if not the best budget cards out there. They will give you solid performance at good prices.

bare in mind it uses a ton of power though, and isnt exactly silent, but for £10 i couldnt complain, its happy with tf2 at max settings @ 1920x1080

the sticker was peeling off it too, but i like the ghettoness xD

the gtx260/275/280 go for nothing on ebay, i'm sure you could get one for $30 easily, unless they are cheaper in the uk for some reason, which i doubt

i still dont see your edit, i cant see anything about a psu anywhere xD, what about gts250's and 450's, alot of those only take 1 6 pin, and still more powerful than a gt620

even a old 9800gt is a possibility

Would something like a Molex to 6pin connector adapter work?

probably, but it isnt something i'd recommend, you'd be using the power supply in a way it wasnt really designed.

the cheap gtx2xx performance is tempting though isnt it xD

especially with it being a old system, i guess you're less likely to care what actually happens to it, if you can pick a gtx260 up for pocket change, it could be worth a try (i wont be blamed for things exploding and causing techy death though)

Pretty sure you either got scammed or this is incorrect.

Since they're going for $100+ on Ebay currently.

I second the old 9800GT for nostalgia :)

I can get a 660/660ti for 20 to 30 bucks used here. Which is a much more powerful option. Then again with that cpu most or the higher performance options will be limited.
