What is the most disappointing thing you have ever heard from young PC builders?

Only bad thing I've ever heard/experience was something who blindly support Nvidia and trashed on AMD purely over the brand. No idea how to compare GPUs or what makes on better over another (therefore any opinion was disregarded).

Well, NVIDIA is clearly better than AMD because green means go while red means stop.

Idiot.

CompTIA is fraud.

The amount of RAM allows you to have more FPS. (He was talking about... STORAGE DRIVE RAM)

Linux is for hipsters. (I screamed inside).

Old people can't learn computers.

Windows is the best operating system... (WHICH WINDOWS! I can think of 12 Windows Versions right now!)

Linux is assholes who want to be different.

Donald Trump is probably gonna help tech.

AMD is still a company?

A few days ago while choosing my CPU:

*sees that in the store there's no CPU that's compatible*

- You need a better motherboard, your motherboard is old (2 years old... Haswell.)! - said my dad

Ryzen 7 3700X / 16GB RAM / Optane SSD / GTX 1650 / Solus Linux

I admit I run mine mainly with plain white lights only, prefer it that way.

When I tried the Division it offered a profile for the game, so I tried it and it went apeshit with all sorts of lighting. That was kinda fun tbh.

It was worth it just due to the fact I can turn it into an audio spectrograph.

I'll admit I'm an asshole and that I like to go against the flow, but none of that had anything to do with why I went to Linux.  I just didn't make any sense to pay for windows when my homework revealed that Linux could meet all my needs at least as well as windows.  Whoever said that just sounds butthurt that other people didn't choose the exact same things he did.

Well, the 8320 isn't bad in GPU extensive games with a decent GPU.  However, once they go single thread and more CPU extensive that's where you will notice the difference.

Yep exactly. But the price difference was negligible. So why not get an i5 when he doesn't even know why a multi core cpu is good? he will never ever stream or do any multitaskign that would benefit an 8 core...

I have a friend that build a PC and he told me that his PC is not posting, I talked to him for 10 minutes until I found out he put his HDMI cable into his motherboard. Before this I did not know motherboards have HDMI ports, so I learned something too.

Its not any harder really. Its just that due to their much smaller market share its far less lucrative to develop malware for them.

Looking at its total value versus NVDA and INTC, that is a legitimate question right now.

Apple has some of the best security software out there, it is hard to infect a mac, you have to actually try.

"They kinda don't though"

I get an average of 50-80 macs a year.

Granted, not much compared to the hundreds of windows computers, but still.

Also, Apple doesn't have security software, they have a naturally secure OS. (That they've made more vulnerable).
