How much money do you have to spend? And more importantly what do you friends play on?

I would get a PC unless your friends have  PS4s and want to play together. Also get this it is pretty cool. http://www.amazon.com/Vodcart-USB-LED-Fan-Clock/dp/B00DHEK0ME

My Work in Progress PC http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/522048-xeon-build/ <-- That PC was built but never booted:(

My Work in Progress PC 2.0 https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/540583-xeon-build-20-code-name-xenox (Hopefully this one boots.)

How do you set the time in that clock?

Oh never mind, there's a picture of the manual in the images.

Mystery is the source of all true science.

Birthday sex isn't too bad of a gift to give... oh wait a gift for yourself? I'm sure you can find some way to work that out.

Personally, I would go with whatever your friends are on, unless you don't play with friends, in which case go PC. I had waaaaaay more fun on my Xbox 360 back in the day when all my buddies were on the same system, but these days I play solo and the PC works much better for that.

i5 4690K | Asus Ranger VII | 8GB HyperX Fury | Asus GTX 780 | NZXT H440 | Samsung 850 Evo | Seagate Barracuda | Corsair RM 750W | Corsair H105

E3-1246 v3 | Asus Gryphon Z97 | 8GB HyperX Fury | MSI GTX 970 | Enthoo Evolv mATX | Samsung 840 Evo | WD Red | EVGA SuperNova GS 650W | NZXT Kracken x41

Get an external HDD if you don't already have one. They help a lot.

If it's between a PS4 and a $400 PC, I'd 100% take the PS4. If it's between an $800 PC and a PS4, then PC of course.
