Maybe I'm missing something but I only had to really mess with tuning while I didn't have 100% affinity with the car manufacture. After I got 100% I just maxed everything out and raced my suped up Toyota xD. I think it was the first car I unlocked and I use it for most races. I find it hard to lose. I have everything manual except I still have brake lines on as I can't spend the time to learn the tracks.

Some ASUS model. Has a GT 550M, i7-2630QM, 4GB or ram and a WD Black SSD/HDD drive. MacBook Pro 13" base model

iPhone 5 64GB, iPad air 128GB, iPod Touch 32GB 3rd Gen and an iPod nano 4GB 3rd Gen. Both the touch and nano are working perfectly as far as I can tell :)

The list goes on really. If you had made that statement 2 years ago, id agree but free to play games are not the steaming piles of turds they used to be.

 

When deciding if a game is Pay to win or not, i look to see how much of an advantage you get by paying and how much you would expect to pay. For example when EA's Battlefield Heroes was around, it'd get so much hate for being heavily pay to win, when in reality, if you had the skill, you could easily dominate the enemy team with default items and if you decided you did want to pay, you could spend £12 and you could buy 2 weapons (of unlimited duration) for each class of each faction. So I really disagreed with people calling it pay to win. Games made by Nexon (or any other korean dev for that matter), now thats pay to win...

I know there are good free to plays out there as I play TF2 a lot. What I was trying to say is if you go from a paid $59 forza vs a free one trying to make people upgrade it will be lacking or horribly broken. I guess we will have to see

Just keeping this here as a While I agree that Wheel Support is great, and playing a racing game using a keyboard is retarded, the game will no doubt have full controller support. Racing games on XBOX Controllers are generally very good.

While that might be the case, the average PC Gamer is much more likely to have a Controller then a Racing Wheel. I have 2x XBOX 360 controllers sitting on my computer desk as I type. They are still pretty much some of the best controllers you can get for PC anyway, and you can find 360 controllers for pretty cheap now.

Physics engine in PCars is quite good actually. I would say more realistic than the Forza series and "up there" with the likes of Assetto Corsa and others like it. I am a sim racing junkie and have many years of real-world racing experience, just for the record. ;)

 

All racing sims have their inconsistencies/flaws, but PCars physics is certainly not "shitty".

Those claims/rumors have been more or less defused since that article surfaced.  

i was not refering to the realism of the physics. i am not well versed enough for that. i am refering to the performance of it and the decision to run the core engine on proprietary tech.

ahh nope and this is the thing which really pisses me off. 

 

Its directinput instead of xinput. This means there will be a lot of faffing around before a DS4 controller will work, well some games work better then others in this case

PCars is actually built on a modified version of the Madness engine which was the core of the NFS Shift games. It's been heavily tweaked, of course, but I wouldn't say it was built on proprietary tech. As for performance, it is quite demanding as there is a high level of graphical detail and complex physics involved. Runs quite well on my system and for many other people. Running it at 1080p ultra, 60-90fps most of the time on a 980.

That's a step in the right direction and I will wait until it's confirmed it does have wheel support. But if it never receives online multiplayer support, it will still be a huge let down. That's the one of the key points of Forza.

I know I'm very unusual in this regard, but no Multiplayer (At least, no Online Multiplayer) makes no difference to me. I enjoy doing the "campaigns" and "tournaments" of these types of games, earning new cars, etc, in a single player fashion.

 

If I bought it, I doubt I'd even use Online Multiplayer.
