Howdy!

So I just upgraded to an i9-13900K and it most certainly runs hotter than my previous CPU.
Im a bit worried about some temperature fluctuation and I was wondering if this strikes anyone else as odd or if im just having one of those ''I just built a PC and im freaking out about every little detail'' kind of moment.

I ran HWINFO for about 10minutes & some more while typing this post.
CPU Package is jumping from 28 to 44 while doing basically nothing.

The average is 30, but im wondering if these little spikes are anything to worry about or if im just having *one of those* moments.
Also im using a Lian Li Galahad II Trinity with 3 SL-INF fans on the radiator in a ''Push air outside the case'' setup.

Run prime 95 or Cinebench and see what the CPU temps hit under load. That's going to be the real number you want to look at over idle or basic tasks.

your mainboard by default overclocks your cpu with no powerlimits.

set your max amp to 307A, PL1 to 125w and PL2 to 253w .. those are the intel specs.  by default most boards have amp to 400 and PL1 and 2 to 4000w.

after that you can try to under volt the cpu with ca 50 micro volt. and test if it's better.

That seems to have worked.
I'll let it run for a little while, play a couple games and see if my temps return to what I was used to, or close to.

Thanks!
