Forza Horizon 3 is in the works and as a result it should be coming to pc.

The console version (and pretty much every Forza before 6) has a microtransaction system aswell. You can buy cars for tokens which cost real money (in case you don't want to play for that sweet and expensive Ferrari), I don't see a reason to be upset about it.

 

Would be interesting if you could play the game for free but had the ability to obtain all of the cars (450+) and all the locations if you pay for a $60 upgrade. That would be the best of both worlds. I certainly hope Microsoft does that.

I don't see Microsoft leaving out cars in the PC version. They might put a majority of them behind a "points" wall (eg: Pay cash for tokens or earn points by playing), but I see no reason to think they would actually exclude any of the cars.

I'd be willing to bet that they just require you to be a certain level if you wish to buy the car with earned credits and if you want the car early, you can just use the premium currency.

Yes, you earn in-game currency to purchase cars and presumably tracks. Or you can buy them with real money.

Looks like MS is looking at PC as more of a free-to-play model with this and Fable: Legends. Makes sense since it's a low barrier of entry.

I mean, they did say you can buy cars with earned currency. But ima presume you're exagurating for effect, either way it really all depends on if MS understand that locking half the game behind a paywall will result in less sales and a unhappy community.

I am very surprised that Microsoft actually did something good to PC gaming for once. I am fairly sure they showed Forza running on a PC before and then just went "lol, we totally ported the game but won't release it". Good to hear that it is finally coming.

Too bad it will probably be Microsoft store exclusive, and/or ruined by microtransactions.

I think that was likely at an E3 or similar expo show where they were running Forza 6 on PC's via dev boxes of some sorts (They were running Windows 7, IIRC).

With only 63 confirmed, I don't know about that.
I mean, they're developing a free2play Halo specifically for the Russian market instead of just porting over the games they already have.

So who knows wtf the Microsoft executives are thinking.

The Russian F2P Halo game is totally different. That's a brand new game not based on any pre-existing Halo game. It might use some existing assets from Halo 4-ish era, but it's not "Halo 4 turned into F2P".

 

Forza 6 is Forza 6, whether it's F2P or not. If it was some totally new F2P Forza game, they would call it something new, like "Forza Play" or some shit.

I'll try it and see when it comes out, but if steering wheel support is lacking (H-Shifter and clutch) or is mediocre at best I'll be disappointed. But I thoroughly enjoyed 2, 3 and 4 so I hope this at least comes close to those

Windows 7 and 8 will be phased out soon, there's no point in denying it.  with 7 and 8 out they can focus on (fixing) windows 10

Keep in mind that Windows 7 won't be phased out until 2020 (End of extended support), and Windows 8.1 2023. However, after 2018, Windows 8.1 ends Mainstream support. Once that happens, we'll likely see a bigger gear shift with Windows 10, as all the Windows 8 engineers can be shifted over to Windows 10.

Forza 6 is Forza 6, whether it's F2P or not. If it was some totally new F2P Forza game, they would call it something new, like "Forza Play" or some shit.

Still confirms my point which is that they'd rather put more work into creating their goal than give us a full game (hence why they took out most of Forza 6's cars for the free2play version).

Halo Online is running on a modified H3 engine with most weapon models coming from Halo 4 (some in modified versions for their pay2win bs).

Of course it's not 1:1 the same game, but it still has sprint and those stupid armor abilites, in my opinion that doesn't make it a completely new game, especially not compared to Halo 4.

This it's an great announcement. Pay damn hyped that Microsoft finally did it. Not at a possible pay-to-win, but at the fact that future forza games well come to both Xbox and pc. That's the biggest announcement for sure.

That being said im hoping for good things from Horizon 3 and fm7, being this is coming out in beterrn of their ever other year release cycle, I can cut them some slack on this "special version"
