My current storage configuration is only being used because its currently all I have. Funds aren't too fabulous toward storage and computer upgrades and I use google drive and my hard drive for whatever it is, games, videography , or music.

I have a 150gb seagate barracuda I scavenged from an old PC as my boot drive. Main programs and such.

A 640gb WD blue i scavenged from an old laptop. This is main storage  (music, videos elements etc)

A 500gb Hitachi I scavenged from a cousin's old PC. Games are stored on this.

And finally, a 2tb Seagate barracuda I was given by my father as a gift. I use this for recording footage.

Haven't paid a cent for HDDs. :D

Right now I have a 128GB SSD for OS and other things that could use the speed boost, and a 2TB drive for storage. The reason I run this is simple, it was cost efficient for me. I got the SSD because I wanted my OS to respond faster and for most programs to run faster, I got the 2TB for my games and anything else that takes up a bulk amount of space. If I could have gone RAID I would have but money was a constraint so for now this is what I have, and it works very well.

I currently use a 1Tb Seagate hybrid drive for general use, and a 32Gb sata SSD drive. The reason i chose to have the ssd was to prevent bottle necking in bootup, all so for star craft.

Oh and because College kid lol.

OCZ Agility 3 60GB for a boot drive, I bought this as it was next to the Hard Drive I was buying and it was cheap. 1TB WD Green as I needed it for that day and the WD Blue was out of stock and there was no price difference.

I just have a 3 TB Nas right now (2 1.5 TB drives). I store it in my closet by a second router so I can stream my music collection through the house.

I'm running 4 Hard drives for a total of 340 Gb of storage, not only that but one of the ahrd drives is a laptop hard drive. All of these hard drives are atleast 7 years old, the reason that I'm running this setup is simple, it costed me nothing. I got everything for free!!!!! So it is great considering that!

1. I've got a 128GB Boot SSD plus a 1TB storage HDD. I'd love to have both the additional storage as well as the speed/safety provided by these drives. Currently I run through 50% of the storage drive several times weekly storing RAW (and, sadly, edited as well on the same disk) footage, and most of my steam games.

I have a samsung 840 evo 120 GB with my OS and key applications because I want to boot quickly and launch some programs quickly (ITS REALLY FAST!).

Then I have a WD green 2 TB drive with all my programs and games the reason why, is beacuse and don't need to have really fast loading times on my games and other applications, and hard drives have good GB/dollar ratio so I don't need to spend 500+ Dollars on a SSd, just to put my games and other stuff.

I'm using a WD blue 500gb and a crucial M4 32gb mSata ssd for cache but it constantly breaks for some reason, i'm using the wd because i knew it was a good brand and it was the cheapest reasonable drive i could get, when i upgraded the rest of my system i got an msata ssd because i wanted to confirm the tales of their speed :P

I have a desktop and I run an OCZ agility 3 60GB as a boot drive because it was a cheaper SSD when I first built my PC last year, I have a 1TB western digital blue drive, and a 2TB seagate barracuda drive, no raid has been configured. I chose the 1TB drive because it was cheap, pretty well performing at the time too. it's more than fast enough to play games off without lag (It's my steam game drive) and haven't faulted it yet.

I got the 2TB seagate on sale for 99 bucks here in New Zealand, which I believe was an awesome deal - so I picked it up because you can't have enough storage ^_^

I use that drive primarily as a writing drive for DXtory and It's quite good performing, I get about 100+MB/s write speed in the insoftware benchmark.

Hi, I use a 2 tb seagate drive for my main storage, and a 120gb saamsung ssd for my oprating system and few key applications!

The reason I use this is so I can have the best of both worlds! Speed, and capacity!

Double check everything, I am usually wrong.

Like I said before: Gotta love LTT for the'm all giveaways.

Right now I'm using a Seagate Barracuda 500 GB (which is dying because my Steam library is apparently too big for it), I bought it because it was the cheapest I could go for at the time, the effects of the flood were too high the moment I bought it.

Currently using one (1) 240GB Kingston Hyper X SSD as a boot drive and for primary games that are not tied to Origin and/or Steam.  Additionally I am running a (2) full WD Black Drives (32mb cache) for movies, music, games, pictures and AutoCAD/ProEngineer Drawings.  A Raid 1 setup consisting of the WD drives would provide additional storage room for my work/hobbies and allow me to keep backups of my data in one convient place as opposed to being scattered amongst several external drives.

I ran/ran in my desktop:

an Intel 330 120GB ssd that I got because I tried out my friend's ssd raid and I really wanted a ssd. I got it because it was on sale and the Samsung 840 had not been announced yet. I have one now and my Intel ssd is in my Thinkpad e420.

an external WD My Book and a 1.5TB Hitachi hdd for videos and games. I got one at Target and the Hitachi from a Costco prebuilt I had.

I was asked for a present for my birthday so I got 2 TB seagate barracuda for programs since I was running out.

I have a bunch of 80GB, 160GB, 320GB, and 500GB hdds lying around but no cables that are long enough so I;m waiting for my sata cables to arrive.

Probably putting some in builds for people.

Never too much storage :)

I run one WD Blue 320 GB Boot drive that I have had for a while now from an older build, and use a 1TB Seagate Barracuda drive for media, programs/games becuase 320GB is not enough for games. Along with an external WD 1TB for backups after I had one of my drives die on me and lost data. All of this makes sure that if one drive dies I will keep some information safe. (Boot drive dies I take the back up, media drive dies I just redownload what was lost) It also helps with organisation.
