Intel Pentium G2030 3.00 GHz Overclocking - How far can I safely go?

Hello there after my post asking about budget CPU's I have decided that for now I will just try and overclock my CPU instead. It is a Intel Pentium G2030 and runs at a stock clock-speed of 3.00 GHz. 

 

How far an I go until it starts giving me problems or could damage it? 

 

 PS: I am new to overclocking and my only experience is using the GIGABYTE OC GURU which doesn't get technical at all .

Weren't you able to bclk on 1155 though? Or was that p67 and not z77

I believe the bclk is still linked to other bus speeds.

You can't go anywhere, that CPU is not overclockable.

I don't blame you mate tbh, everything's so expensive for you guys in South Africa. 22 Rand to the pound would make it so difficult.

 

Not sure if your processor's overclockable though...

It's been said that that chip is locked, but in general, how high you can go is limited by the voltage needed to get there, and the heat produced at that level.  Simply setting an unstable speed in and of itself is not inherently harmful.  Yo don't want it getting too hot or being fed with a dangerously high voltage.

You can adjust the base frequency or 'blck' but it's tied to other system buses so going any further than 102 is usually a stretch. it's not really worth testing the stability for.
