Mechanical Keyboard Club!

Dave :)

Hi, I am very new to the forum and I'm looking for a long lasting mechanical keyboard with either cherry mx reds, browns or blues. I was taking a look at the vengeance k70, Does anyone have any suggestions, I'm struggling to find something good.

the k70 is a great choice. Do you care about the backlight colour?

Then the k70 is the board for you. It comes in ask the of the switch types you've mentioned, as well.

cool, thanks for the help.

no worries. Would you be using it more for typing, or for gaming? And are you able to try one before you buy to get a feel for the different switch types?

If it's mostly for typing I'd recommend staying away from reds. I found them to be way too light for typing and I'd make far too many mistakes on reds. Blues or Brown's are great, though

Ducky Keyboard just uploaded this photo on facebook. A full size version of the new Ducky Mini?

I kind of hope that it won't be called Ducky Legend! It doesn't really go with it!

No, something called "Legend" should be truly special and from the picture the Ducky Legend doesn't look like it could live up to that name.

I kinda like like look of it.

I'd love to see one in person as I'm not really sure about the looks. Hopefully it's an aluminium frame.

In general I prefer TKL and 60% over a full size keyboard.

My first mechanical was the rebranded Poker II Ducky Mini, one of my best purchase so far.

You'll have to get used to it, at least I did, I did go straight from a rubberdome G15 to a mechanical Ducky Mini though :P

I'm getting rid of my CM trigger (Green switch)

I just couldn't stand full size keyboard right now except in the office, mini is around USD105ish in my country

pre-ordered the dark grey already, getting one as well bro?

I might get rid of my ducky yellow (white switch) too, having that much keyboard is somehow pointless for me right now

6 keyboards and I have a Lightsaver coming too... while I only use one at home, and one in the office

Edit: holy crap just realize I have another G80 coming... cant resist the bargain at taobao

I need help...

Damn, just ordered my next keyboard.

Massdrop currently have the Poker II on drop, not very exciting I know.

That said, they have a version with MX Clears, which is interesting and my next keyboard :D

Guest mode link to check it out.

I'd guess this is going to be popular, so if you want one, get in quick.
